Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry) - 2010 Update

I've been a big fan of Marsha ever since Floetry took the UK by a storm and of course since she wrote the genius track for Mike.

She's now signed with Dr. Dre and released a free mixtape not long ago over at the Aftermath site.

Any other fans here?

I think she's the artist who wrote 'Butterflies' (on MJ's 'Invincible' album)

There's a Floetry demo version on one of their albums as a bonus track. It's practically identical.

I love Marsha, and I I've been wondering what happened to her! Has anyone heard what she does to the song ITS GETTING LATE on one of their albums? Truelly beautiful..

I love Floetry, ima fan of theres and I can honestly say they make good music and they write pretty good to. They are VERY underrated but nowadays REAL talent is anyway.

Big fan. I added her as a friend on Myspace and she actually wrote a response to a message I sent. One of my favorite live performances was her and Gerald Levert doing "Ebony Eyes" at Smokey Robinson's Walk of Fame ceremony. She also did "Who's Loving You" at the same show. She really brought the house down. I've been waiting for a solo debut album for a good long while now.

ah mate, i hope that was recorded - must check it out. one of the best things i admire about her is the live performances and collabs - her duet with Eric Roberson (N2U) was something else.

The videos used to be on Youtube but I just checked and they aren't there. I swear, both Gerald and her were AMAZING that night, it was really incredible. You'll have to see it. I'll see if I can find it online somewhere.

*Found it, crummy quality though.

Gerald will be missed, this'll be nice to see. i'll be on the lookout for a proper quality recording if it was televised, cheers.

Marsha she is incredible. I just found out not to long ago floetry broke up. Yea I know I'm late but Marsha can hold her own. Shes a very talented songwriter and singer. Don't know how true this is but I heard she wrote "Butterflies" when she was in highschool. Thats mad talent ...
The sound of the two songs are different compared to the neo soul music she use to make with Natalie but definitly will be checking the new album out.

Is the song with Eric Roberts the one where Marsha is doing a free style type thing? Heard it on radio twice and I loved it, never heard it since.

shes a really good singer. I didn't know the group broke but She didn't need that other girl. I was annoyed I felt like she always interrupted the songs with her talking.

why the break?

ok im not feeling it. I just can't get down with all the talking in the mixtapes, the cursing, the feature ppl on her song , and the music just ain't appealing to me.
The other 2 songs were just ok that arxter posted. Not feeling it. maybe the official album will be betta

Re: Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry) - UPDATE: new tune

^ yo, i get what you mean and a lot of her fans are moaning about the two mixtapes she's already released and with no album or singles moving. i just think she wanted to somehow find a right balance between art and commercialism in signing with Aftermath. so hopefully the album will be special.

no i think you're referring to She Ought To Know which Erro also dueted with Marsha on, although she 'freestyles' in both in a way:

New album coming up. Free mixtape released:

Her Mixtape is better than 90% of the R&B albums I have heard recently..She's VERY talented imo..and I can't wait for her album to come out!!
