Naomi Campbell has been arrested for investigation of assaulting a police officer at London's Heathrow Airport, a source confirmed Thursday.

Police sources could not confirm what may have triggered the altercation. She was arrested in the newly opened Terminal 5, where travelers' frustrations have flared due to baggage delays since opening last week.

Campbell, 37, was ordered to attend anger management classes and complete five days of community service last year working in a New York sanitation garage after she allegedly threw a cell phone at her housekeeper.

what's wrong with her..?? or was she catching flight from Heathrow Terminal 5 ?..if yes, then I guess someone had to do it! :p but seriously she needs help.

There is a big chunk missing from that story. Now unless she is mad, something went on to provoke her to react that way. That is the missing link.

man!!!!!!!!!!!!! this girl is always in some type of trouble.. lol!

I think there's something wrong with her. This isn't the first time... that woman has a lot of anger.

Wow, uhm, hello, assaulting a cop has consequences. You'd think all those anger management classes would have taught her something.

I just found out she apparently lost one of her bags and started screaming. They told her she couldn't fly because of her behavior. They escorted her out and then she started screaming some more... finally spitting on a cop.

Wow, just wow...

The 37-year-old British model, known for her fiery temper, was cuffed on board a British Airways jet and led off the plane by police.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "At 17.11 we were alerted to a disturbance at Terminal 5 where officers attended.
"Subsequently a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and taken to Heathrow police station."
Passengers reported that Ms Campbell was aggressive and abusive to staff after there was reportedly an issue with the model's luggage.

Her publicist, Selina Aponte, said she had been due to fly to Los Angeles but would not say what the purpose of her trip was.
She said: "We have all seen the reports but I don't know anything. Naomi was flying to LA, she has family and friends over there and is always going over."
Last year the Streatham-born model had to mop floors at New York's Sanitation Department as a community service punishment for throwing a mobile phone at her maid.
The catwalk star spent five days mopping, sweeping and scrubbing toilets.
During the experience she wrote: "I find solace in sweeping. I have the time to think. Just have, you know, peace."
She said she was considering therapy to control her temper.

she needs to step into some third world countrygirl shoes (or lack thereof) for just one day and then try and have another fit.

i tend to agree.

also..i heard it on the news, and they left out saying anything about the commercial she was in. but they mentioned everything else she does...

Yep. Naomi is one celeb that gets targetted by the british media. They show her no respect at all.
Terninal 5 has been complete chaos at the moment. If Naomi came through there she probably has been caught up in that delay. To have to lose your luggage as well is highly frustrating. Try being in that position. I know what it is like to lose my luggage at airports. People get frustrated and scream at airport staff all the time. They are never arrested. Don't know why they had to arrest Naomi for that, except it garners some publicity.
The police in britain are big time liars too. I would rather hear all the facts before I follow what the media or the police says.:)

Unless the spitting bit is true..there was probably no reason to arrest her, I agree. Losing your luggage IS extremely frustrating and I can imagine if airport staff were very dismissal about it considering just how many they have lost. I'm also pretty sure she was not the only one screaming the since last week...anyhow being a celeb etc you would think she knew better than to act up in public.

lol if they arrested her im sure they had a good reason. its one thing to yell at someone and other to actually assault them. especially if its a police officer lol she seems like shes chasing trouble

Stranded at an airport and then losing your luggage cannot be construed as chasing trouble. Celebs are human beings too.
Maybe she should have walked with a body guard so that they could have protected her. I do not believe anything the media says about the girl and I do not believe the cops either. I need solid evidence before I believe a thing.

considering her abusive record, this is not far-fetched to believe.

What abusive record? You mean the one where she threw a phone at a maid? Did we ever hear what the maid did to her to cause her to react that way? Nowadays celebs are being blackmailed by their domestic workers because those domestics can go to the press and get rich quick. It is very dangerous for celebs now. MJ suffered from the same thing. Liz taylor was accued of sexual harrastment by her chauffer. I would not believe anything a worker says about a celeb.

i don't usually use wikipedia, but all these come with sources. this is more than just one case - for which Ross actually pleaded guilty - so i disagree with your insinuation of any innocence in that particular case.

  • In 2000, she pleaded guilty in a Toronto court to a 1998 assault on Georgina Galanis, her then assistant; Campbell had assaulted Galanis with a telephone in a hotel room and threatened to throw her out of a moving car. Under an agreement with the prosecution her record was cleared in exchange for her expressing remorse; Campbell also paid Galanis an undisclosed sum and agreed to attend anger management classes.[12]
  • In March 2005, Campbell allegedly slapped assistant Amanda Brack and beat her around the head with a BlackBerry personal organiser. Campbell's spokesman Rob Shuter denied the incident ever took place. In July 2006, Brack began legal proceedings against Campbell, claiming Campbell abused her verbally and physically on three continents. Brack accused Campbell of assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress in incidents that started a month after she began working for her in February 2005. Campbell countersued for an unknown amount.[13]
  • Italian actress Yvonne Sciò has claimed Campbell left her "covered in blood" after an altercation at a Rome hotel. Sciò claimed: "She punched me in the face. She was like Mike Tyson."[14]
  • On March 30, 2006 in New York City, Campbell was arrested for allegedly assaulting her housekeeper with a jewel-encrusted mobile phone, resulting in a bloody head that required several stitches.[15] She was charged with second degree assault, a felony that carries a minimum sentence of one year and a maximum of seven years in prison.[16]
  • On September 28, 2006, Campbell did not attend a required court appearance in New York City, and the judge ruled that he would order her arrest if she failed to turn up in court the following week, on charges of a second-degree assault on her housekeeper, and could be jailed for up to seven years if convicted.[17]
  • On October 25, 2006, Campbell was arrested in London on suspicion of assault;[18] she was released on police bail.
  • On November 14, 2006, another former Campbell housekeeper, Gaby Gibson, began a new court case against Campbell seeking unspecified damages, and accused her ex-employer of being a "violent super-bigot".[19]
  • On November 15, 2006, Campbell appeared in criminal court in New York City regarding her March 2006 assault charges. Her defence lawyer and the prosecutor told the judge that they were "still in the process of working out a possible" plea deal in the case.[20]
  • The Boston-based law firm Sullivan & Worcester, which had assigned a top litigator to defend Campbell throughout her many escapades, severed their relationship with Campbell in 2006.
  • On January 16, 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless assault against her maid Ana Scolavino. She was sentenced to five days community service and ordered to attend two days of an anger management course. In addition, she was ordered to pay medical bills of $363 (£185) to Scolavino who required four stitches after the incident.[21] According to a report on CNN, Campbell blames "her temper on lingering resentment toward her father for abandoning her as a child".[22] On March 19, 2007, Campbell began mopping floors at New York's Sanitation Department for her service.[23]
  • On August 20, 2007, New York Supreme Court Judge Michael Stallman[24] issued a decision and order[25] denying Campbell's legal attempt to exclude Gaby Gibson's references from her history of well-publicized, allegedly "chronic abusive and repeatedly violent conduct toward her employees." Judge Stallman reasoned that "if proven, the reports of Campbell's conduct" might result in proving that it was so "wanton or outrageous" to justify the punitive damages sought by Campbell's ex-housekeeper.[26]
  • On April 3, 2008 Campbell was arrested at Heathrow's Terminal 5 [27]. A police statement suggests the model was held on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.[28]

even if the record would reach from you to me it's no prove for what happened this time lol. Just a clue maybe for a certain likelihood... anyways... we don't know a thing yet, but that she was arrested. Let's just wait, I'd say.
