not big on TV but my mum used to watch a lot of Egyptian soaps and i hear similar beautiful themes on just about all of them. i dug into it further and realised that one man was responsible for half the music of Egyptian soaps and films.

Different Strokes was written by Alan Thicke who played the dad on Growing Pains. He's also Robin Thicke's father.
