We've learned Beverly Hills Police have just responded to the office of Dr. Arnie Klein, Michael Jackson's close friend and doctor.

We're told Klein's office asked the cops to come -- someone in the office told us they called for protection. We do not have further details.

UPDATE: Cops tells us Dr. Klein's office has been receiving "suspicious calls" today -- so they took a report and are going to investigate.

Authorities Closing in On Jackson Doc

Posted Jul 11th 2009 11:53AM by TMZ Staff

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the central target in both the coroner and LAPD investigations into Michael Jackson's death is Dr. Conrad Murray, who was at Jackson's house when the singer went into full cardiac arrest.

Sources say the doctor is not cooperating with authorities, but they have still found evidence linking him to the drug that may have killed Jackson. As we first reported, as a result of Dr. Murray's second interview with police two weeks ago today, the LAPD obtained a warrant to conduct a second search of Jackson's home -- and that's when they found Propofol, a powerful anesthesia that should never be used outside a hospital. There is evidence Propofol was administered to Jackson shortly before his heart stopped beating.

And we're told there is evidence Dr. Murray may have administered the drug. Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, told TMZ he would neither confirm nor deny if Dr. Murray administered Propofol to Jackson. Law enforcement sources tell us if they conclude the doctor administered the drug it may well lead to manslaughter charges.

Investigators are also suspicious of the delay in calling 911 -- the Dr. says he waited 20 - 30 minutes because he didn't know Jackson's address that would lead paramedics to the house. Jackson lived on one of the most famous streets in the world -- one house above Sunset Blvd.

As the investigation into Jackson's death heats up, there's also an investigation into his life with drugs and the doctor's who fueled it. Sources tell us law enforcement is seriously investigating the prescription practices of several doctors who gave Jackson access to medications. Investigators are particularly interested in doctors who used aliases to write scripts for Jackson. One of the central figures in the investigation -- Dr. Arnold Klein.

We broke the story yesterday how members of Jackson's staff complained that Klein was using the names of employees and others to help Jackson score drugs. One of the names allegedly used -- Frank Tyson, a former Jackson employee. Several powerful meds in Tyson's name were prescribed by Dr. Klein and found at the Neverland Ranch during the 2003 search.

MJ's Former Nanny -- Obsessed from an Early Age

Posted Jul 12th 2009 1:45AM by TMZ Staff
Michael Jackson's former nanny Grace Rwaramba fulfilled most of her high school fantasies when she became a part of MJ's life -- as her old high school yearbook spells out multiple times.

Michael Jackson is mentioned four separate times in her 1985 senior yearbook from The Academy of the Holy Family in Connecticut. In one section, classmates predicting Rwaramba would marry the singer and have her "own generation of Jackson 5."

She came pretty close.

oroner at Office of Jackson Doc

Posted Jul 14th 2009 2:36PM by TMZ Staff

We've learned an official from the L.A. County Coroner's office just showed up at the office of Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael Jackson's dermatologist, and he's on the hunt for medical records.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter just went inside Dr. Klein's office. As we first reported, law enforcement is saying privately Dr. Klein has not cooperated in turning over files they requested.

Winter confirmed with TMZ just moments ago before walking in -- Dr. Klein is under investigation. We're told law enforcement is investigating Dr. Klein's prescription practices as they relate to Jackson -- including prescribing meds using aliases.

Sources say Winter is there to retrieve more patient records of Michael Jackson.

LAPD Treating Jackson Death as Homicide

Posted Jul 15th 2009 2:00AM by TMZ Staff

Multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD is already treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, and they are focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray.

Law enforcement sources tell us the evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death. As we first reported, vials of Propofol were found in Jackson's home after he died.

Law enforcement sources say there is already "plenty of powerful evidence" linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes various items found in Jackson's house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank.

Dr. Murray's lawyer would neither confirm nor deny if his client administered the Propofol.

And we've learned the LAPD has had "multiple conversations" with the L.A. County District Attorney's office, although the case has not been formally presented to the D.A.

One Step Closer to Solving Jackson Drug Mystery
Posted Jul 15th 2009 5:29PM by TMZ Staff

We've learned the DEA is hot on the trail of finding out who got the powerful anesthesia that may have killed Michael Jackson.

As we first reported, law enforcement sources tell us they believe Propofol was the primary cause of Jackson's death. One of the vials of Propofol found at Jackson's home was manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals. The DEA contacted Teva to track down the vial in question.

Our sources say Teva looked at the lot number of the vial and found some of the vials in the lot went to AmerisourceBergen -- a distributor of the drug. We're told the DEA contacted AmerisourceBergen a few days ago and asked for all sales records of Propofol over a recent two-month period.

We're told the DEA is looking to match doctors or other health care providers that obtained the drug with doctors who have some connection to Michael Jackson

Re: TMZ Reports

The LAPD's probe into Michael Jackson's death is a criminal investigation -- according to the L.A. County District Attorney's office.

As we have already reported, multiple law enforcement sources say the LAPD is treating Jackson's death as a homicide.

Although a spokesperson for the LAPD characterizes it's probe as a "death investigation," L.A. County D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons says, "There have been conversations by District Attorney personnel with police and Coroner officials in connection with the ongoing investigation. It is common for Los Angeles County law enforcement agencies to be in contact with the District Attorney's office during criminal investigations." (emphasis added).

As we reported, LAPD detectives are treating Jackson's death as a homicide and focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray. Law enforcement sources tell us there is powerful evidence showing that Dr. Murray administered Propofol to Jackson and that drug was the primary cause of his death.

Debbie Rowe Sues over Alleged White Lies
Posted Jul 16th 2009 7:50PM by TMZ Staff

Debbie Rowe is waging legal war against Rebecca White, a woman who claims to be a close friend of Rowe's who went on TV last night.

In a defamation lawsuit filed today, Rowe claims White defamed her when she went on EXTRA and said she has an email from Debbie saying, "Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely."

Rowe claims the emails are bogus.

And, Rowe claims, White is like Zelig, surfacing in a number of high-profile scandals. The suit alleges White claimed to have been a personal assistant for Naomi Campbell back in 2001 and made allegations Campbell forced her to smuggle drugs.

White also made similar allegations against Kate Moss. And according to the suit, White emerged again after Heath Ledger's death, alleging she saw the actor use cocaine and ecstasy.

Rowe wants unspecified damages and any money White may have received for her appearance.

Jackson Autopsy Report Delayed
Posted Jul 16th 2009 9:00PM by TMZ Staff

The L.A. County Coroner's office needs another two weeks before it releases the Michael Jackson autopsy report.

Sources tell us the reason for the delay is that several outside consultants have not finished their reports.

As we have already reported, some of the tests are already in and from all indications the drug Propofol will ultimately be listed as the primary cause of Michael Jackson's death. But the Coroner does not release partial results.

Jackson Doc Says Bye to Cali
Posted Jul 17th 2009 2:00AM by TMZ Staff

Dr. Conrad Murray has made himself scarce since speaking with the LAPD two days after Michael Jackson's death. We've learned the doctor has high-tailed it out of California, at least for now.

We're told he's in Houston, Texas -- where he has a medical practice -- waiting for the other shoe to drop. As for when that will happen ... our law enforcement sources say it appears to be just a matter of time.

Our sources say the evidence continues to mount ...as LAPD detectives continue what has become an exhaustive investigation. But, we're told the evidence has become clear -- the anesthesia Propofol was the primary cause of Jackson's death, and Dr. Murray is the man detectives believe administered it.

As we reported, the LAPD is treating Jackson's death as a homicide.

Jackson Doc Declines to Chat with Cops

Posted Jul 18th 2009 3:00AM by TMZ Staff
We've learned Dr. Conrad Murray canceled an interview with the LAPD.

As we have already reported, the LAPD is treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide. Detectives have their sights set on Murray, as the person who may have administered the drug Propofol, which we're told is the primary cause of Jackson's death.

We're told the LAPD planned a third interview with Dr. Murray earlier in the week -- the doctor was interviewed the day Jackson died and again two days later.

Reps from the L.A. County Coroner's office planned to attend the third interview, but we're told Dr. Murray's lawyer called and said the doctor would not be speaking to the cops at this time.

And here's the best part. Our sources say the cops called the lawyer back and they were referred to the lawyer's lawyer who said Dr. Murray's lawyer would not be speaking to them!

http://www.tmz.com/2009/07/19/michael-jackson-katherine-will-challenge-probate-court/
Sources connected to Michael Jackson's family tell us some family members as well as lawyers for the estate are ticked off at some legal eagles who may be trying to start a legal war.

Attorneys Londell McMillan and Burt Levitch do not represent Michael's estate -- they represent Katherine Jackson personally. They filed legal papers Friday asking a judge to rule if Katherine can object to the appointment of the executors named in Michael's will and still collect the money her son left her.

Here's the issue. There's a "no contest" clause in the will, meaning anyone who files objections to the will automatically gets no money. McMillan and Levitch want to know if the "no contest" clause would apply if Katherine only objects to the executors Michael chose.

Here's what's bugging some family members and the lawyers representing the estate ... the will gives Katherine 40% of Michael's estate, so she can't be upset about that. The will names Katherine guardian for the children .. again, that's what she wants. And the named executors -- John Branca and John McClain -- are Michael's longtime, trusted advisors and friends.

So why would Katherine object to the will or the executors? A lot of people who are in the middle of it all feel Katherine is being manipulated and doesn't really understand the implications of mounting a legal challenge.

So why are McMillan and Levitch kicking up dust?

Stay tuned

Feds Raid Dr. Conrad Murray's Office
Posted Jul 22nd 2009 12:03PM by TMZ Staff
We've learned the Houston office of Dr. Conrad Murray is currently being raided by federal authorities.

We're told 8 Drug Enforcement Agency vehicles arrived at his offices about 30 minutes ago. LAPD detectives also arrived on scene along with uniformed members of the Houston Police Department.

The law enforcement agents, armed with a search warrant, entered the property and began going through the property.

Dr. Murray was Michael Jackson's personal physician -- he was the man who performed CPR on Jackson before he died.

Re: TMZ Reports

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, just released a statement about today's raid at the doc's office -- saying law enforcement officials were searching for evidence"of the offense of manslaughter."

"We can confirm that a search warrant was executed today on Dr. Murray's offices in Houston, Texas. We reviewed the warrant and remained on the premises while the search was being executed.

The search was conducted by members of the DEA, two Robbery – Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department and Houston Police officers.

The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter.

Law enforcement concluded their search around 12:30pm, and left with a forensic image of a business computer hard drive and 21 documents. None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law enforcement or the L.A. Coroner's office

http://www.tmz.com/2009/07/23/michael-jackson-rebbie-jackson-kids-paris-michael-jr-cutsody/

Multiple sources in the Jackson family tell us -- even if Katherine Jackson gets custody of Michael Jackson's kids -- Michael's big sister Rebbie Jackson will raise the children.

The 59-year-old singer, who shares a home in Las Vegas with her hubby of over 20 years, has kept a low public profile, but privately she has been deeply involved in the lives of Michael's children.

We're told Rebbie is currently living with Katherine at the family's Encino home and is caring for the kids day-to-day. As for the kids ... they all adore her.

Although the family is divided on many issues involving Michael's estate, we're told there's no argument when it comes to Rebbie caring for the kids. Whether she eventually becomes the custodial parent in name or not, she will end up with the primary responsibility of raising Michael's three children.

This is a great thing I think. I had a feeling it would be either her or Janet unofficially helping Katherine with the children.

Lawyers for Michael Jackson's estate, along with Katherine Jackson's lawyer, went to court this morning, seeking temporary financial allowances -- and Katherine claims she needs the money to live.

The matter was put off until August 3, when lawyers will all appear in court.

UPDATE: 2:29 PM PT: Lawyers for the estate wrote in a written declaration, "We are informed that Mrs. Jackson was also financially dependent upon Michael Jackson and that other than extremely modest social security benefits, Mrs. Jackson has no independent means of support."

The declaration continues: "Michael Jackson died 4 weeks ago. Therefore, there is an urgent need for the Special Administrators to be authorized to pay family allowance for the benefits of Minor Children in order to ensure that the Minor Children's needs for maintenance and support are met."

The document also says other than social security benefits which the kids have not yet received, they are totally dependent on the estate for their care and support.

Jackson's Death 'Almost Certainly' a Homicide
Posted Jul 24th 2009 2:15AM by TMZ Staff
Law enforcement sources tell us the L.A. County Coroner is scheduled to release the autopsy results in Michael Jackson's death next week, and the cause of death will "almost certainly" be homicide -- death at the hands of another.

We're told the Coroner himself will make the call mid-week, after he gets the final toxicology report from an outside consultant. But based on the draft report as well as what has become "clear evidence," causes other than homicide -- natural, accidental, accidental overdose, and suicide -- have been ruled out.

We've already reported that for weeks, the LAPD has treated Jackson's death as a homicide. They have served multiple criminal search warrants -- most recently at Dr. Conrad Murray's Houston medical office. Dr. Murray is actively being investigated as the person who may have administered the powerful anesthesia Propofol to Jackson the day he died.

We're told both the Coroner and LAPD have significant evidence that Propofol caused Jackson's heart to stop.

Dr. Murray's People Scramble for Files
Posted Jul 24th 2009 11:48AM by TMZ Staff
Two people went to Dr. Conrad Murray's storage facility at 11:22 AM Houston time the day Michael Jackson died and took files from the storage and put them in two cars.

We're told the women who picked up the material took 3 to 5 boxes and other items. The two women are sisters who worked for the doctor, according to their grandmother. They came to the storage facility in a Mercedes and there was a car that followed them. The women were there for 30 minutes.

The timing is interesting. It was 9:22 AM Los Angeles time when the women showed up. Dr. Murray called 911 at 12:21 PM. The question -- what time did Dr. Murray realize Jackson was in distress?

Jackson's Time of Death in Question
Posted Jul 24th 2009 12:34PM by TMZ Staff
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Dr. Conrad Murray was not in Michael Jackson's room when his heart stopped.

As we first reported, authorities believe Jackson died from an overdose of the powerful anesthesia Propofol. Sources say the LAPD believes Dr. Murray may have administered it.

This raises an even bigger question. Dr. Murray called 911 at 12:21 PM. He says he discovered Jackson in distress a half hour before. But why, then, did Dr. Murray's employees make a sudden trip to the Dr.'s storage facility in Houston at 9:22 AM Los Angeles time? Could Jackson have been lifeless hours before the 911 call?

We're told by the storage facility manager the women who picked up 3 to 5 boxes became nervous when the manager began questioning them about why they were there.

I havnt seen any discussion here WHEN Propofol were given to Michael in order to sleep.
Ive read that rehersal started 2pm that day. I think I read an interview by one of the dancers or singers that they found out the tragic news as there were going to rehersal (I might be wrong). So why would MJ need to sleep just two-three hours earlier before his rehersal? Can it be like TMZ is slighty suggesting; that Michael passed away HOURS before the 911 call?

Jackson Doc's Interest in Sleeping Disorders

Posted Jul 24th 2009 12:44PM by TMZ Staff

An interesting turn in the Michael Jackson investigation. Several items were seized at Dr. Conrad Murray's Houston office -- "Pamphlets on Sleep Center."

We're told Jackson may have taken the powerful anesthesia Propofol the day he died because he couldn't sleep. Police believe Dr. Murray may have administered the drug.

The Sleep Center is located near Doctor's Hospital in Houston. Dr. Murray was suspended from Doctor's Hospital -- the administrator tells us he believes the doctor was suspended for not completing medical records in a timely fashion.

As for Dr. Murray's affiliation with the Sleep Center -- a rep from the company hung up when we told them we were TMZ.

Klein Does Surgery on Jackson in Gyno Office

We've learned Dr. Arnold Klein once took Michael Jackson to the office next door to his -- run by a gynecologist specializing in vaginal rejuvenation -- to perform a minor acne treatment on the singer under full anesthesia.

We spoke with Dr. Harvey Richmond who told us ... around 2003, Dr. Klein asked him if he could use Richmond's surgery center in his office to perform a procedure on Jackson.

Dr. Richmond says, per Klein's request, he got an anesthesiologist and a scrub tech who worked on Jackson.

Dr. Richmond says he found it "odd" that Dr. Klein performed "some sort of acne treatment" with full anesthesia. Dr. Richmond says he believes the anesthesia used was Propofol, the same drug that may have killed Jackson.

Dr. Richmond says the 2003 procedure was the only time Dr. Klein used his office for Jackson.

And there's this. Dr. Richmond says Jackson stiffed him on the bill, eventually only paying half after Richmond threatened to take the singer to Beverly Hills small claims court.

Hidden Drug Stash Found in Jackson's House

0717_mj_murray_ex.jpg
Law enforcement sources tell us Dr. Conrad Murray kept a stash of drugs -- including the powerful anesthesia Propofol -- hidden in his closet at Michael Jackson's home.

Sources say when the LAPD first searched Jackson's home the night he died, they did not turn up Propofol or many of the other drugs that were in Jackson's house.

Dr. Murray talked to the LAPD the following Saturday and the information he supplied triggered another, broader search warrant. Cops returned to the house the following Monday and discovered "various drugs" secretly stashed in a closet in the guest room where Dr. Murray was staying.

Here's the amazing thing ...law enforcement sources say Dr. Murray himself told LAPD detectives about the closet when he was interviewed the Saturday after Jackson's death.

One law enforcement source says: "The drugs were concealed...they weren't obvious." Among the stash -- Propofol, the drug authorities believe killed Michael Jackson.
