This is a Brooklyn-bound G-train, the next stop is: Michael Jackson immortalized at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets.

The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership negotiated an agreement to create a mural of the late King of Pop at the entrance of the Hoyt-Schermerhorn train station, the New York Post reports.

The display is still being planned with no word on who will design the artwork, which will be displayed on the front of an office building at 45 Hoyt Street.

The location holds special significance because the Hoyt-Schemerhorn station is where director Martin Scorsese directed Jackson in the iconic 1987 music video "Bad."

"We see this as a great opportunity to potentially establish Hoyt-Schermerhorn’s role in American pop culture and as a tourist destination to attract people to a part of Downtown Brooklyn already rapidly growing," Joe Chan, president of the partnership told The Post.

Since the project will be shown on property belonging to real estate company Beneson Capital, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's permission is not required.

This is not the first time a Hoyt-Schermerhorn Jackson tribute was proposed -- Last fall, the MTA rejected City Councilwoman Letitia James’ suggestion to rename the station after the "Thriller" singer and hang up a plaque of him.

Oh, that is great news! I am very happy to hear this. I can't wait until it's done and I can go visit it (Brooklyn straphangers move out my way!).

Great news.

Long live the King of Pop.

Cool!

The Bad video is one of Michael's most well known and popular video so it is great to hear that the very station used, is being given a Michael Jackson mural.

Finally - great news after the "powers that be" voted against putting up a plaque commemorating Michael and the Bad video....

They're not having back the bit of tile I chipped off the wall there back in '88 though - no sir!!!

That's so cool! I'll have to go and pay it a visit once it's done.

Wow, so very cool! I'm trying to avoid going back to NYC as I've already been a few times already but I have to see that!

Cool!!
Another reason I must go to NYC again. It would suit me best if the mural is done before the Spike Lee MJ birthday bash in Prospect parc, LOL! ( combine things and so on)

wow..Michael would really love this.....This is going to be a great thing for the children to see someday also..:)

if i ever manage to go visit america that is a place i'll visit for sure! :) :) :)

very cool! i'm glad they circumvented the red tape. i've been to New York, before...now i have a reason to go again.

That's cool, would love to see it when they get done. I hope it's protected so that haters would not pull some stupid crap and try to mess that mural up.

SUZYNYC,
You Bad New Yorker. As a New Yorker, your comment made me laugh!! I know exactly what you mean.

Good news Michael. I will definitely visit this station.

This is fantastic for MJ himself and for all the pp who love music.
Such an iconic video and location couldn't go unnoticed.

That's great :) and let me catch someone trying to vandalize it. they'll get pepper spray in the eyes.

Well be careful when you guys get here. The MTA is so far behind on their maintenance of their stations, I hope this will actually unfold. I also hope the clean up the station since it will be more of an attraction. It's a scarey place now.:2cents::D
