Whats next after BAD 25?

What I would personally like is for Michaels 7 adult solo albums along with Destiny, Triump and Victory albums to recieve the Anniversary treatment and for everything else to be structured around them. I really hope the Anniversary thing catches on. The Blood On The Dance Floor Anniversary edtion could be coupled together with Ghosts blu-ray and it would be a great way to release past concerts.

IMO BOTDF isn't good enough to warrant an anniversary release, as it wasn't as big of a seller as MJ's first 4 albums. HIStory could get a anniversary release...but I doubt that as well.

I think something with Off The Wall & Dangerous needs to be done.

Perhaps. Plus the fact that there's only 5 original songs on it, although I think 4 of them are superb. Yeah, it's probably not worthy of an Anniversay style event. It was also released while MJ was on The HIStory tour. It is said to be the biggest selling Remix album, but I don't really care for the remixes. But I'd buy it again in a boxset if it came with Ghosts on blu-ray and it would be cool if it added to it's overall sales, although I'm not that bothered about statistics.

You guys seem optimistic. They dont have that much unreleased material. So on any more anniversary albums, ill just been expected the unreleased cd 2001 on Dangerous, demos for HIStory, and song demos from Invincible. With concerts and footage. Any unreleased song will end up on the future 1-2 posthumous albums.

Were Dangerous and HIStory big enough albums to warrant an anniversary release? If you look at Thriller and Bad, they are the two biggest selling albums of all time (or at least Bad was) - I don't think many people these days who are outside the fanbase are very familiar with the albums beyond Bad - that's just my opinion though and of course you'll disagree (no bashing though please).

As for what I think will be next, I'd like there to be another album of unreleased stuff preferably anything recorded between 2003-2009. I think that would give us a flavour of where Michael was going with his music. My ultimate desire would be for the will.i.am tracks to be released - that would be dope.

Realistically? Probably another greatest hits.

I don't think they nescessarily have to be Michael's biggest selling albums to warrant an Anniversary edtion. Didn't Dangerous outsell Bad anyways, or match it? Black Or White was one of his biggest selling singles of all time(reaching #1 in the UK and US, and later on the HIStory album You Are Not Alone and Earth Song being among his biggest sellers and hitting #1. Stranger In Moscow is one of the greatest songs he's ever written. All to most of the albums sold in excess of 20 million, making them amongst the biggest selling albums of all time, generally speaking. Even Blood (to be fair it only had 5 new tracks) sold 6-7 million without any massive hoopla, whilest MJ was out on Tour. And with The HIStory World Tour, he broke his own record (at that time from what I remember). The Invincible album sold closer to 10 million and it was called a flop. Coldplay's Parachute sold 7-ish million and they were called the biggest band in the world. I think, since his death an Anniversary release of each album/tour would be a great way to re-release the album whilest giving us unreleased songs/demos from each era whilest also giving us a live show from that particular era. They were all game changing albums and were mostly big events. It would be nice to keep the whole "event" aspect of it all. The whole idea of marketing old MJ songs as "a new album" has no appeal to me. Especially if their gonna be adding instrumentation and lets say other "audio enhancements". It kills a big part of it for me. The last "new album", I have zero interest in. For very obvious reasons It just didn't work. I would prefer somthing like The John Lennon box set Wonsaponatime, where all material is left in its raw original state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lennon_Anthology

Anyways, thats just me.

The only problem with another album is that most of the unreleased stuff is in the hands of fans now. I would still buy it, providing no Cascio of course, but others might not if they already have the stuff.

I want to hear Michael´s classical music

They'd have to provide solid proof that the music was made by Michael if there are no vocals. Video footage and demos of every single thing...

This is my wish list:
1. (2013) New album w/ new material including APWNN, Blue Gangsta, STTR, etc.

2. Invincible outtakes- R.Jerkins said there is plenty of outtakes that could fill an entire album.
:D
3. Ghosts in blu ray. They have to release this sooner or later. :yes:It's a fan favorite.

4. Dangerous 25 - (maybe) if BAD 25 does very well maybe that will give them the green light to release it. Dangerous was a great album , huge hits in this one with awesome videos. I truly believe this album merits an anniversay edition. Its a fan favorite and a hit with the public, Black or White was epic and all those great videos!
5. OTW anniversary but what anniversary would that be?

Dangerous at one point sold more albums then Bad, this is correct. I think it would have been even bigger, and probably would have had more number 1 hits if the events of 1993 never took place.

The comment above about there not being that many unreleased material is false. MJ created tons of tracks for each of his albums. He's even made tons of songs after Invincible which haven't seen the light of day. There will be plenty of stuff to be released in the decades to come.

http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/threads/117771-Michael-planned-classical-orchestrated-Album-merged
In the first post in the link David Michael Frank talks about how Michael wanted help to get his classical music orchestrated and that he was working on it.I think Michael must have had proof that he was the composer before Frank got the music to work on.
Michael Prince was the one who called Frank and told him Michael wanted help to arrange the music.
I think Michael Prince had heard the music too and probably more musicians he worked with.

after bad 25 they should release another album with unreleased material. i would like "a place with no name" "i am a loser" "slave to the rhythm" "children of the world" "lucy is in love with linus" "edgar allan poe" "on my anger" "in the valley" i would like at least 15 new tracks on the cd.. i would then like them to release more if not all of the this is it footage in a box set, then a victory tour on dvd and blu ray, then dangerous 25, a dangerous tour dvd and blu ray (not bucharest) another album of unreleased songs (again atleast 15 tracks), an album of Classical Music Michael was working on, Footage of Michael in the studio (otw, thriller, bad, dangerous, history, and invincible sessions) then atleast 12 to 15 more albums of unreleased material.. this would be like a 10 year plan, lol but i would love it!

here is a list i made (lot of researched involved) of finished songs we know exist:

I think most of them are demos or early scratches. Some songs of your list have been released or leaked and most of them aren't finished.

Well whatever happens I hope they don't keep waiting till the 25th anniversaries as I'm not getting any younger.

I want to follow songs from early demos to finished songs-or unfinished songs Michael had worked with.
The greatest education in the world is hearing the masters at work.
I would like to have at least the lyrics for "Tragedy Of A Cheerleader" I wonder what happened........

that's an impressive list...plus there's probably more in the MJ archives we don't know about yet. MJ was ALWAYS making music, or coming up with ideas. There will be plenty of stuff to release over the next few decades. MJ's music will be around for a very long time to come. :)

Anyone else wonder what songs Michael rehearsed on TII?

we know Dirty Diana,Will You Be There, We Are The World, Heal the World, Dont Stop till' You Get Enough,Dangerous,Ghost/2bad.. thats all i know of.. but then you have to think about all the Creative Meetings and Dance studio rehearsals, and then just Rehearsals of the songs from different days..
i wish they would release a box set of all 80 hours.. and split them up into day by day.. A get to see the show evolve.. all the rehearsals from Center Staging,to The Forum,to Staples.. and then all the meetings etc.. i would love it..

and they have over 150 unreleased songs..
but you dont know if they have all those songs/demos. i think many of those got lost or something like that.

I wish they would release Ghost´s on DVD/Bluray
The next Album of unreleased songs should only have untouched demos and no songs finished by producers or remixes,..

Whats next after BAD 25?

^ considering we're in 2021 & what's happened so far, it really is a tough question:D

(A) Dangerous 30th
(B) Thriller 40th
(C) Invincible 20th
(D) Streaming's 'nuff for ya!

Can't decide, can I phone a friend?:D

Now that I managed to appreciate this album and because it had some hidden masterpieces such as "We've had enough" and "A place with no name". I may be more curious about that era. If not then, Dangerous. I feel like we already know most about Thriller era.
Anyway, songs are going to be ruined by in final mixes and modern day mastering...
