Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

A journalist on Twitter (John Ziegler) has mentioned that there may be an event in LA (involving Estate reps.) on 4th June regarding the allegations. Not sure what kind of event. Maybe a discussion of some sort. I guess we'll hear soon.

I hope it's good.

You know i hope more people do speak out. Michael "had a lot of friends and supporters". what about the people came to his funeral?

I thought Wendy was on Michael side. so she now believes them?

Basically she doesnt believe Wade but she believes other tabloid trash stories (MJ showering with other young boys etc). I was surprised she actually didnt buy into NL but she still doesnt know (or wants to accept) the truth...

Unbelievable isn't it? With all the debunking that has happened and you still see comments like these, lol.

It took me while to watch #leavingneverland Every parents should watch it. I’m angry at the mothers of these boys, the Jackson family, the lawyers defending him, @IncredibleCulk, Hollywood and his fans. Thanks @HBO, Wade, James and @danreed1000 https://t.co/caWxxDoYOd

Told him to shut the **** up, I'm done being nice.

There is always going to be a few just as long a most or many know the deal or do not care about LN. President Obama still have some nuts who still think he is not American regardless to he has been voted President TWICE (and often people like this already has some ill feelings toward you anyway).

Some of you need to stay away from twitter. Its like you go looking for it

Some do go looking for it and it's no bad thing.

When the media are deliberately reporting inaccuracies and destroying Michael Jackson's legacy, when celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon telling the millions of followers that MJ is guilty of abusing children and they believe Leaving Neverland, what good does staying silent do?

None.

The ONLY way to have a positive impact and save MJ's reputation and legacy is to show readers on Twitter and the internet more generally that there is another story. That they're being mislead. That at the very least there are reasons to disbelieve the allegations being made.

Sorry Elusive, but staying silent is a big part of the problem IMO.

For example, Mike Smallcombe, Charles Thomson and others didn't get The Mirror, Daily Express, BBC Radio and other outlets to report the truth by remaining silent. Thanks to their dedication and vocal support for MJ, many millions of people have had the opportunity to learn about the credibility issues associated with the LN allegations. They have been supported by a large number of very vocal and very active supporters on Twitter and across the net.

Without all those people MJ's reputation could have been totally destroyed by now. Instead we see radio starting to play MJ again. Shops continuing to sell MJ merchandise....

Plus it's great to expose how some of these blue ticks work, as clearly many of them are like bots, with the same template sentences and clear ignorance on the topic (they are either paid or instructed to do so, or just copying others out of sheep mentality).
However, it's also important to chose the battles worth fighting for (no one should waste their time and energy on attention seeking haters).

BTW Hulu bought Untouchable (the docu on Weinstein) at last (to think that it was premiered at the same time as LN...). It will be interesting to see its promotion and explosure.

It's actually nothing like that for me. I've been away from Twitter a lot lately actually. Actually I haven't been checking for news nowhere near as regularly anymore. So now I check Twitter and I was just surprised to see this.
There's always some blue tick out there who just "happened to watch LN" trying to bring up the topic and keep it alive. Always with similar sentences and never mentioning the contradictions (it's hard to believe if someone's really interested in LN he/she could avoid the news about them). I guess many of them didn't even bother to watch it, just tweets about it like it's obligatory for them. So I don't think this would stop. But responding with facts could work - although the blue ticks won't research or respond in an intelligent manner, but for the wider audience. Just don't waste too much time with them. :)

Yeah I agree, I refuse to remain silent, I rather fight back and tell those morons off than ignore the lies continues to spew and spread. I’m all about fighting and that’s what I’m supposed to do.

That guy on Twitter just got hit with 600+ replies , 99% of which are PRO MJ. He's being destroyed.

because he does not know nothing of these liars yet he is talking like he know Wade/james/HBO/Dan are truthful while judging the Jacksons, fans, and others. Shut up! I agree u have to respond to this nuts to let them know u are not stupid. When I do so, many are revealed to be trolls. I even debate some that they come out of their "act".

Not talking about staying quiet but some ppl just go looking for B.S for the sake of it. Dont do anything to educate ppl (thats if these ppl are even intrested in the facts. Most are just trolls who enjoy getting a reaction.) Ppl should pick which battles to fight. I dont care what some saddo troll on twitter etc living in a trailer in the middle of no where who has no life other than trolling on the net thinks about mj.

Aaron Carter Defends Michael Jackson But Claims He Did ‘One Thing’ That Was ‘A Little Bit Inappropriate’
By Corey Atad. 2 hours ago

Aaron Carter may have some stories to tell about Michael Jackson.
On Monday, People shared a clip from the next season of “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition” in which Carter talks about the late musician.

“Michael was a really good guy, as far as I know, a really good guy,” Carter says.
“He never did anything that was inappropriate,” he adds. “Except for one time. There was one thing that he did that was a little bit inappropriate.”
Carter doesn’t appear to explain further what that one inappropriate incident was.
The 31-year-old first met Jackson when he was 14 and soon became friends.

In 2004, Carter told People, “Michael and I have been friends for three years. … Nothing happened between me and Michael. We didn’t sleep in the same room, we didn’t share a bed. We have a normal friendship. There’s nothing sexual to it.”
Earlier this year, the documentary “Leaving Neverland” detailed sexual abuse allegations against Jackson from Wade Robson and James Safechuck.

I guess we know why he's being so coy - to drum up interest in his new show?

.@AaronCarter will star on the upcoming season of #FamilyBootCamp! It’s either he’s teasing the media or he’ll be considered the enemy. I still say he’s still defending Michael, but I swear to god if he mentions what the inappropriate thing he mentions, I’ll put him back on my list. I sure do hope he’s teasing the media.

Aaron Carter is an attention seeking guy who is dropping MJ's name because he knows the narrative the media wants to keep promoting. He's feeding into that by giving them what they want. Let's hope its nothing too serious.

I am not 100% sure of this but I think what he is refering to is supposedly Michael was at one time sittning by his bed looking at him really early in the morning or something like that and I think it is also mentioned in Ryan Michaels and Charles Thomsons podcast Pirates in Neverland. Feel free to listen to it again if you like. It is good but about 3 hours long.

He's using it for attention and he will probably mention something really mundane

That's kind of what I'm thinking; he's teasing like it's going to be some huge scandalous thing, but it'll just turn out to be that Michael used bad language in front of him or something like that.

He should be ashamed of himself for making ambiguous comments like that, given everything that has been going on.

You are so right. it's best just ignore the trolls.

I feel fans doing a great job but i feel some of us need to take breaks at least a couple of days or so. i been doing this since march. we are now in almost the end may and still kind of on this. we are winning BUT one thing i can say. we can't not make people believe what they believe in. we can't make people like MJ. Michael is %100 innocent. BUT if "fans" or haters don't wanna believe it or don't wanna have nothing to do with community anymore. let them go. you can't force these people. as long they not saying evil things to MJ,his fans, or family. it's okay. just let them be.

Aaron's response to his latest comments (or so it seems):
