Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Michael was very blessed on this earth even when people treated him wrong. i truly believe god brought him on this earth he even said it himself.

I wouldn't be surprise if does get cancelled. it's been on the air way too long and stories are not like it use to be and all their doing is repeating the same stories over and over again. me and mother like the early seasons of the show. yeah not so keen with these people anymore either. sad to know they doing this to mike for all the things he did with this show and were a big fan of it. treasure that episode since they remove it. it's apart of Michael and the simpsons history. very important. Well I’ve defended “The Simpsons” long enough now since I don’t care anymore, like my brother keeps saying “lost it’s edge” and I shot back at him saying “Family Guy” is way too stale, unfunny and more repetitive. If those 3 were in my town I shout at them “Episode Killer!” and “MJ haters!” to show my hatred towards em” now. They’re gonna lose ratings and meeting their own demise anyways.

And my VCRs still work.

I still have a VCR/DVD combo, I attempted to get another one, but with dubbing this time (VCR/DVD Recording Combo), but they becoming expensive and I wanna get it, even if it takes me a few more years.

Your right. people can't accept that Michael was a well behave man with innocence. it's bothers them so bad. they want at least one or a few things bad about him. it's makes those people jealous.

Do you know there are people who will hate you if too many people love you. Sad but true and you do not have to be famous either.

there is reason why The weinstein court date was changed at one point from May to June... The Emmy cut off date is May 31st. We wouldn't want his Peers to be forced to vote for a film highlighting HIS crimes right? noooo, we woudn't. SMH

Yes i know. i have experience that myself. it's all a form of jealousy. everyone just wants to be loved or have something that someone else has. that's why i said people was just jealous of Michael. he was just too much for this earth.

also people can just not like you. it doesn't matter what you do people will just not like you. i don't know why. it's just life. i guess.

I get jealous too sometimes at people. BUT i don't wish them dead or anything. Jealousy is a normal emotion BUT an very serious one that's need to be taken care of.

I love Michael but some fans are really starting to sacred me. Michael wasn't a GOD. this probably why non fans look at half of us like we nuts.

Mind telling us what are you referring to, specifically?.

No, Michael wasn't God.
But I don't think there are many bad things to be said about him. Specially not that aren't shallow or superficial.

Yes, he made himself the #1 target of every possible idea tabloids could make up out of him.
He put himself in the most vulnerable position time and time again. And we were always left in the middle having to fight for him and explain almost the explainable to everybody else on Earth. How many times did you have to start explaining what happened in 93? Like, actually going through the whole story behind the Chandlers, little by little. Until at some point you were even confusing yourself as you were explaining it. Like... "no, wait... actually BEFORE this thing I was telling you, what happened was THIS.... OH! AND ALSO, I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT........." etc, etc, etc.
Me? Dozens of times. And the people you're telling the story to (maybe a friend, maybe a family member, etc) look at you like "Yeah right....". Because, literally... when you hear yourself telling the actual real story, fact by fact, you start thinking "Damn... it sure does like one hell of a conspiracy theory. The whole world was against MJ".

But we, as fans, who have watched Michael grow, since he was 5 years old, he never ever ever in his life had one altercation, he was never caught down-talking to anybody, or screaming at somebody, or insulting anyone. He had ALWAYS maintained the same tone. The same humbleness. The same kindness. No matter how bad the situation got. We're talking about a man that literally grow up in front of thousands of cameras. He grow up in front of us all. Yet, he has never been caught "off guard", so to speak. Why? Because he was special. He was special in every single way. I truly believe we, as human beings, were not prepared for someone like Michael. So good. So evil-less. So innocent. So child-like.

So we tend to look at everything through our own lenses. Judge people the second we meet them. Make assumptions. Jump into conclusions. Even if you just met somebody at a party, you'll be subconsciously judging him or her.

So Michael was an easy target for the whole world.

And no. He was not God. But what else is there to say about him?.

I believe this was Michael's most powerful speech ever.

Had he said this, in this exact way, with the same energy and conviction, in an exclusive interview or in a big awards ceremony or through an official statement, trying to reach more public, I think it would have done him a lot of good and if would have helped him to shift the perception of public opinion about him.

I don't know why, whenever he got the chance to do a big interview or speak to millions of people watching him on TV, he always chose to speak about different things in a different way. Less powerful. With less impact. Weaker.

The interview with Oprah. The interview with Barbara Walters. The interview at Prime Time Live. The interview with Martin Bashir.
ETC.

He never used those big opportunities to speak to the world and say "HEY, THIS IS WHAT'S HAPPENING. THIS IS WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE PAST 10/15 YEARS. THIS IS THE REAL STORY".

But the things he said in that Speech (had he not been recorded by someone at random, we probably never hear those words) are compelling and convincing.

When he talks about a conspiracy.
When he says that after becoming the biggest artist, with the biggest selling-album of all times, and overnight all of a sudden he became a child molester, he skin-bleacher, a monster.... just like that. And all because he was a black man. A successful black man. The MOST successful black man in history. IT'S SO GOD-DAMN POWERFUL. You hear him talk like that and you instantly understand everything else. Everything falls into place.

WHY DID HE NEVER SPOKE LIKE THAT ON BIGGER SCALES? AT CERTAIN EVENTS WHERE HE'D HAVE GOTTEN A LOT MORE ATTENTION.
I just cannot understand that.

We've always heard rumblings about a conspiracy against MJ. But hearing it from his own mouth. With such power. Man... it's something else.

My mother doesn't know about the emmys yet. i'm trying to figure out should i tell her or not or let her know once it gets close.

glad your doing better. don't let this mess get to you. everything gonna be okay.

Glad your feeling better, don't bottle feelings up we are hear to listen if you're having a bad day, there is always going to be positive and negative stuff about Michael but we are going to have to deal with it I'm afraid, your not alone we all love MJ that's why we are here

Thanks guys.

I think I read somewhere that the episode was still on Amazon Prime UK, but dunno about the accuracy. I doubt it'll be pulled forever though; it'll probably come back in the next year or so. And if not, well... there's always the DVD releases (if you can find them) or in extreme cases, piracy...

Your very lucky because we don't have no VCR anymore. VCRs doesn't exist anymore and the only way to get them is to buy them online which cost about 100 of dollars. we had alot of VCRs but some people kept breaking them.:\ you never know what you have until it's gone. that's why always cherish my stuff.

Thrift stores and flea markets are your friend. ;) I almost always see VCRs at those places and they're always super cheap ($8-$15).

Robson's dancing is some next level cringe. Add that to his sociopathic qualities, he has no one to blame but himself for not making it big. Michael did so much for him, but even he couldn't salvage that disaster.

That's because Michael was just born to dance. wade in the other hand wasn't. and what's makes it sad he's teaching others his dance moves went his dancing sucks.

I am glad. And I have the BART MAN Dance Song video which Bart refer to Michael; and at the end of the song Bart say "Eat your heart out Michael.:D

LOL! the bartman video has alot of Michael references in it. like lisa being his biggest fan and bart saying he's "BAD" like Michael. very memorable. he even produce that song with happy birthday lisa. Michael was such an sweet man. i'm not sure who was his favorite character were. but i'm guessing it was bart and lisa.

also the episode had alot of Michael references in it. all that stuff is so memorable and somewhat so early 90's. :D ah i'm going back to memory lane.:D

Yeah, it's still there.

People in the UK with amazon prime are lucky. fans better try to record that. there no telling how long they gonna keep it up. i live in USA and i haven't seen or hear about it for awhile now. it has been pulled. :(

how does your tattoo look like?

I got an infinity sign with a crown at the top and MJ initials on the other side, Its on my left shoulder, I love it so much, if I knew how to upload photos on here I would post it but I don't know how to do it, its wierd but I feel closer to him and he goes everywhere I go now lol

This is a very good new compilation of Wade's (and Safehuck's) lies and body-language at 'telling' moments in LN: (With thanks to JaDversary, who is on YT and Twitter)

Thank u for this, if these 3 were lined up I don't know which one I would punch first, why can't we have them interviewed by someone that actually knows they are lying instead of the likes of Oprah, seems fair to me

I'm sure they would have already pulled it from UK Amazon if they were going to. Seems that it's only banned in the US. That's interesting... Maybe they don't have the power to pull the episode in other countries.

Also, I can't believe how high the ratings for LN are on the US Amazon. That's wild. You should have seen how low it was rated on the UK site before they pulled it. It was hilarious.

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt9573980/, this is what IMD rating is for LN, reading the comments about it I'm just staggered by how many people actually think this is true, I even read one from a solicitor who totally thought they were telling the truth. I'm not convinced these people actually watched the same thing as I did. Id love to speak to these idiots cause I'm sure I could give them a sob story and get money out of them cause they are that gullible

Yeah. But you have to remember, this film was so manipulative that it actually managed to convince some fans. Some of which were long-time fans. So a lot of the clueless public wouldn't have stood a chance. They're just ignorant and a lot of them don't care enough to seek out the truth. But I remember the reaction on twitter here when it aired. It didn't sit right with a lot of people. Either because Michael isn't here to defend himself, or because they could feel it wasn't honest.

I'm going to share this tweet that Taj retweeted, because it's great and so are the replies:

I check iTunes Canada and it’s still the same, 2 stars on Part 1 with only bad reviews with 1 star rating including mine and Part 2 got 1 1/2 star same reviews and same stars and also mine included.
