To read Twitter you don’t have to be social. :D

I’m not on Instagram because I don’t like it there, but I sure as hell don’t want to see a whole Instagram photo stream replicated in this forum.

Those tweets are completely random, and offer absolutely no new information whatsoever. And I really don’t understand why we need to have this discussion over and over and over and over again …

Oh. well thank you for telling me. I will delete them now. i agree with JichaelMackson. if i never join this site i wouldn't known anything about this stuff etc. so this site is very useful even though now it's struggling with money. (keep donating guys.)

social media isn't really my thing either and not really good for my mental health. I only look at Twitter for mj content and leave.

It’s a social media platform that can be accessed via app or website. For the website, you don’t even need an account if you only want to read.

Here’s a search for Square One on the Twitter website: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23SquareOne

You can read it just like any other website.

Square One
By Josiah Teal | July 22, 2020

When people talk about Michael Jackson, the conversation usually falls into one of two camps. The first see Michael Jackson as the pop superstar who moonwalked across the stage and sold millions of records. To others, he’s the celebrity whose name became synonymous with the accusations and legal proceedings that would follow most of his later career. On August 13th of 1993, the LAPD opened the first investigation against Michael Jackson for allegations of molesting 13-year old Jordan Chandelier. Square One seeks to highlight new evidence and testimony of the first investigation and shed some light on the allegations against the “King of Pop.”

Square One opens by outlining the details of the Jordan Chandelier case and establishes a timeline of the events that eventually led to the media storm that followed. Director and co-writer Danny Wu also takes tremendous strides in establishing the credibility of his interviewees. Throughout the film, the witnesses and experts state how they knew Michael Jackson or Jordan Chandelier. The accomplishments of investigative journalist Charles Thompson are shown in a credits-style scroll as they are so expansive. By establishing this validity early on, Wu paints the picture that Evan Chandelier, the father of alleged victim Jordan Chandelier, as a conspirator against Jackson.

As the documentary progresses, several experts and people close to Jackson (at the time) fill in the gaps in Evan Chandelier’s story of molestation on Jackson’s part, often showing the inconsistencies and lack of context to much his claims. These inconsistencies are expanded on by stating the opportunist nature of many others who came forward after Chandelier. Wu handles this flow of information using animated segments depicting the events discussed and cutting to footage of the news sources themselves. Through the use of first-hand sources and secondary evidence, Wu builds the case that Michael Jackson does not match the profile of a child molester but could not have committed these acts.

The movie concludes as a strong rebuttal to the likes of Leaving Neverland or Living with Michael Jackson as it seeks to dispel the claims discussed in previous documentaries. The film closes stating, “Every allegation is built on the ’93 investigation. If that one is false, and I do believe it is false, the rest crumble.” Wu paces the documentary almost like an A24 film – pulsing music to build tension, classical music accompanying the interviews, even down to the aerial shots of the city and font to show the years. The vibe of tension and release creates a mood much closer to something like The Lobster than a typical celebrity documentary.

I found this film very insightful, opening new perspectives on the entire legacy of Michael Jackson. Ultimately, it is up to the viewer to decide if Square One creates reasonable doubt and the validity of the evidence and testimony. During some stretches of Wu reading the evidence himself or showing clips of articles for the viewer to peruse, the film loses its momentum. But overall, the film lends voice to those who believe in Jackson’s innocence. If you are a fan of fast-paced documentaries such as The Imposter or are wishing to see the other side of the Chandelier case, this film will open new perspectives and leave you wanting to investigate on your own.

Movie score: 9.5/10

Information in a new documentary titled ‘Square One’ contradicts claims made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck in Leaving Neverland. Is this a direct rebuttal to HBO Leaving Neverland? Better! The film successfully takes on the foundation that laid the structure for all the abuse claims against Michael Jackson in half the time.

Director Danny Wu assisted by Investigative journalist Charles Thomson, reconstructs events surrounding the first abuse allegations against Michael Jackson. Interviews with Taj Jackson, Geraldine Hughes, and trial witnesses uncovers a pattern of greed, deception and truths never publicized by the media.

Film Synopsis

Josephine Zhony, a classmate of the accuser (Jordan Chandler), shares her interactions with him on topics of Jackson and child sexual abuse. The central story revolves around the domino effect of the Chandler case and how it triggered the 2003 (Arvizo) and 2019 (Wade Robson) allegations.

Process of Storytelling
Ultimately, Square One shows Michael Jackson’s side of the story which may be considered biased to its audience. However, the typical viewer watching the film has extensive knowledge of the rumors or innuendo surrounding the case. Contrary to Leaving Neverland, Square One uses court documents and tape confessions from all facets, including the Chandler camp to support its argument. The pictorial illustrations and graphics used in the film are modestly shot, but useful for the viewer to follow along.

Evidence of Extortion
The film proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Evan Chandler, with his lawyer Barry Rothman, planned and launched a fail-safe extortion plot. In a private telephone conversation, Chandler – who was being secretly recorded said: “This man is going to be humiliated beyond belief. He will not believe what’s going to happen to him, beyond his worst nightmares. He will not sell one more record. If I go through with this, I win big-time. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever. Michael’s career will be over.” This admission was taped weeks before Jordan alleged molestation.

Is it possible that Jackson could’ve been extorted and still guilty of the sexual abuse? One flawed argument in his defense has been that a family wouldn’t just take money if molestation took place. In reality, parents have demanded money instead of seeking justice. What’s revealing about this particular case is that Evan Chandler initially asked for $20 million in exchange for not accusing Jackson publicly, but in desperation was willing to accept $1 million.

If guilty, wouldn’t Jackson use this opportunity to protect his secret? Another uncommon factor is the unethical methods used by Evan to get a confession from his child. Square One analyzes the boy’s testimony along with police findings and manages to make a strong case that the allegations were indeed false.

The Settlement and Judicial Prejudice
An indirect history lesson on the issues of systematic racism is shown through the struggles Jackson experiences while seeking justice. The allegations went public only because Jackson denied paying his extortionist – and it was he, not Chandler who made contact with legal entities from the beginning. Court motions support that Jackson pursued a criminal trial, while the family pursued his finances. Unfortunately, because of judicial prejudice Jackson was ultimately coerced into paying the amount that he denied to pay, possibly believing he’d get justice months earlier.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer in 1995, when speaking about the extensive investigation Jackson stated: “The idea is it just wasn’t fair…what they put me through. Because there wasn’t one piece of information that says I did that in any way. They turned my room upside-down, went through all my books, all my videotapes, all my private things and they found nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing that could say Michael Jackson did this. Nothing. To this day nothing. Still, nothing…”

How can u not know what twitter ? its one of the most popluar platforms on the net!

I know the word but I don't know how it works or why it exists. Same goes for instagram for example. I've probably read twitter messages and instagram messages all the time but I don't recognize it.
