Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Only thing outstanding about this movie are the outstanding lies. It is always fascinating, however, to witness in real time how certain narratives and agendas are pushed onto the public from the gatekeepers. The discrepancy between the vast majority of people vs. a small powerful section who dominate what is deemed, in this case, to be an outstanding "documentary" or otherwise culturally important and valuable is mind-boggling. I hope people are waking up to see that this is not just a one-off situation but the modus operandi in genereal. Same in politics.

Surviving R. Kelly had much more impact, too. But then I guess Leaving Neverland would have, too, if Michael had been alive still (like Living with Michael Jackson had).

I remember a friend of mine who always used to say he hated these Hollywood award shows, because it was a glorified kissing of each other's behinds from an industry. Guess he was right. It's really nothing else.

Beyouce fans are upset she did not win yet this lying documentary on MJ did. Again, it is so obvious what these FEW voters goal was under HBO.

They weren't in the same category. Surviving R. Kelly was in Outstanding Informational Series Or Special.
 
It bothers me that Safechuck doesn't look the least bit perturbed holding this undeserved award. He probably thinks to himself "Yeah! My dreams came true! I've always wanted to get an Emmy for best actor. Yeah!" Really stunning this whole thing...
 
'Pride comes before a fall'. The actors in this fraudulent film still have the results of their court appeal to look forward to. I doubt the 'real' judges will be taken in by their legal claims.
They've been living in a publicity bubble promoted by Reed and their legal firm all this year. Lets see how they get on once the Hollywood and media cavalcade has left them behind. I predict they'll fast become irrelevant.

Incidentally, this vid. appears to be a backstage Q and A at the Emmys, with Dan Reed.

He appears to lie (again) when he says of his subject area :'I don't come from that field. (0.26) ''My subject area was terrorism, war and crime etc''. Reed made the film 'The Paedophile Hunter' in 2014, so following alleged paedophiles was entirely his recent subject area.

Interesting that the questions he gets from the press are quite desultory- they don't seem to care much about the film or his answers. ie there's no follow-up to his answers.

Incidentally, this vid. appears to be a backstage Q and A at the Emmys, with Dan Reed.

He appears to lie (again) when he says of his subject area :'I don't come from that field. (0.26) ''My subject area was terrorism, war and crime etc''. Reed made the film 'The Paedophile Hunter' in 2014, so following alleged paedophiles was entirely his recent subject area.

Interesting that the questions he gets from the press are quite desultory- they don't seem to care much about the film or his answers. ie there's no follow-up to his answers.

Is this bloke for real, before he met them two he didn't know who MJ was, erm who hasn't heard of Michael Jackson, and then goes on to say that he thought paedophiles were people who dragged kids into back alleys, wtf, how old is he three. he doesn't do himself any favours does he, what a turkey.

I agree. What even confirms more is that the Black community had been saying all along that most black actors/actresses were snubbed on purpose. I look at it like this: this is God's way of saying that Hollywood is not what you think it is.

Michael's legacy is way too strong for this. This too shall pass...

The show was GREAT and packed. One women threw her bra on the stage when he did Billie jean. It was so funny and he was great and funny.

I saw a video of that on Instagram! I've seen that show (MJ Live) in Vegas, and it's very fun. ^.^ It does need an update though...

Going back to the Emmys being full of shit, apparently The Simpsons won Best Animated Series. The fact that it won and Bojack Horseman didn't is a huge load of bullshit.
