When I think about some performer or band, I imagine the first song of them that comes up in mind. It's like ''their'' song. Almost like a signature.

For me it's -

That's all I can think of for now. What about you?

Michael Jackson- Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Black Or White, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Thriller, Beat It, Human Nature, Man In The Mirror.

I know you asked for one signature song per performer but MJ got so many, so I posted all of his signature songs imo.

BTW MJ is the only one that I can think of. :)

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (though my personal favorite is "Who is it")
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Prince - Purple Rain
Madonna - Like a Virgin
Beatles - Hey Jude
John Lennon - Imagine
Elvis Presley - Jailhouse Rock
Lenny Kravitz - Are you gonna go my way

Whitney Houston - I will always love you
Mariah Carey - Without you
Janet Jackson - Rhythm Nation
Pink Floyd - Another brick in the wall
Frank Sinatra - My way
Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive

I actually don't think Michael had a signature song, because all his songs were his. However, most people associate "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" with him, so I'd guess it'd be either one of those two. (I don't like either song very much, as I prefer his later work).

Others I'm a fan of:

Tom Lehrer-Poisoning Pigeons in the Park
Emilie Autumn-Opheliac
t.A.T.u.-All The Things She Said/Ya Soshla S Uma
Ke$ha-Tik Tok

D.H.T.-Listen to Your Heart
Katy Perry-I Kissed A Girl
Lindsay Lohan-Rumors
Cascada-Every Time We Touch
Evanescence-My Immortal
Britney Spears-Hit Me Baby One More Time
Xtina Aguilera-Fighter

Musicians I am not a fan of who also have signature songs:

Lady Gaga-Poker Face

Rihanna-Pon de Replay
Miley Cyrus-Party in the U.S.A.

^^Respect: I like your updated list. I'd make a few changes for my own list like adding Frank Sinatra back with "My Way." I'd change Streisand's song to "People", the Beatles to "A Hard Day's Night" (that was hard, tho) and with Marvin, I'd choose 'Heard It through the Grapevine' or "What's Going On.'

I made up another list of people I listened to on my parent's albums, or watched on TV in the Great Old Variety Show Days from childhood, through my teenage years and early 20's when I was buying my own albums and seeing artists live. I still listen to those albums today.
