The new HDTRACKS audio format (48kHz/24bit)

They're just wav files ripped from the CD or a good analog recording from the vinyl.
And AIFF is basically wav files too.
And the lossless flac format a lot people share concert audio as.

Not true.

These are the uncompressed studio masters from 2001. The album was digitally recorded, that's why they are offering no less than 24 bit 48khz.

On my audio system you can literally hear EVERYTHING!!

Thriller is the SACD from 1999, Bad is the Bad 25 master. Which sounds terrible.

And digital recordings aren't limited to 48/24. Bad was recorded at 44/16, but there are plenty of digital albums recorded much higher.

There are no vinyl rips on that site. They usually come from the analog or digital masters.
