We all heard MJ singing Smile, Killing Me Softly, and Come Together, songs that are not his, but what other songs would you have loved to listen MJ singing?

Here is my list:

- US Anthem on a Superbowl Halftime Show
- Bed Of Roses (Bon Jovi)
- Always (Bon Jovi)
- I'll Be There For You (Bon Jovi)
- Livin' on a Prayer (Bon Jovi)
- I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing (Aerosmith)

What about you guys???

Killing Me Softly? Never heard him sing tht one.

lets see
maybe DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again (Usher)
I Wanna Dance With sombody (Whitney Houston)
Any James Brown song would be really cool
Dynamite (Taio Cruze)
There's more, but thats all I can think of right now :) great thread idea

No offense but what's with you and Bon Jovi ehh?

I like some of those songs performed by John and his band but none of those would do any justice to Michael's voice, neither a current tune.

Since both of them have the same caliber on singing, it'd had been cool if he'd performed Superstition or As by Stevie Wonder.

Fly Me To Moon, I've Got You Under My Skin or My Way- Frank Sinatra.

Mona Lisa, Unforgettable- Nat King Cole

Bohemian Rhapsody, Love Of My Life, I Want To Break Free- Queen

Sweet Child O' Mine- Guns 'n' Roses

Any song Ella Fitzgerald made famous. Many fans think it'd had been a dream come true if Michael and Whitney could've sing together, I agree but I put The First Lady of Jazz above Whitney.

In an alternate universe:

Suit and Tie (Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z. Replace JT with MJ)
Holy Grail (Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake. Replace JT with MJ).

Srsly. When I heard these 2 collabos they did for eachothers albums, I thought this would be awesome if it was MJ (Jay even references MJ in Holy Grail :D ).
And Justins verse on Holy Grail would have been perfect for MJ, too ("one day you're screaming you love me, the next you're so cold.... you're so unfair...")

In this alternate universe, a Jay-Z and MJ album came out at roughly the same time and these tracks happened :D

Other than those, R. Kelly's "Step In The Name Of Love" would have been PERFECT for MJ.

There's a lot that I wish he could've sang but here are my top picks:

Carry on Wayward Son (Kansas)
Closer to the Heart (Rush)
Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)
Crazy on You (Heart)
Bark at the Moon (Ozzy Osbourne)
Ureshii! Tanoshii! Daisuki! (Dreams Come True)
Snake Eater (Cynthia Harrell, from Metal Gear Solid 3)
Worth a Chance (Steve Conte, from Sonic and the Secret Rings)
Gravity (Maaya Sakamoto, from Wolf's Rain)
The Real Folk Blues (Mai Yamane, from Cowboy Bebop)
The Angry Video Game Nerd Theme (Kyle Justin) -

This is gonna be an odd choice, but I always thought that Michael could have pulled off most of the Pokemon theme songs really well

Great thread ! :)

"As " (Stevie Wonder's version + George Michael and Mary J.Blige's version)

"Rainy Days And Mondays", "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters.

"California Dreamin' ", the way Karen Carpenter sang it. I do not mean the same voice, I mean the same rhythm, same feel.

"Octorber Song" by Amy Winhouse. I would have loved to see Michael sing this song on stage while "spreading cards in the air" during the high-pitched parts the way he did when he sang "Human Nature" in the Bucarest concert in 92.

I wonder if he ever heard the song called "Cold As Ice" by M.O.P. I wish I could have improvised dance moves (not that I can dance that well) with him with the bass all cranked up. :)

'Bernadette' by the four tops, would have been cool to see what he could have done with that song!

Hi :) oh some great choices  everyone's chosen - here's a few I would choose :)

One in a million - neyo
Know your name - neyo
I'm wishing on a star - Rose Royce

I will be back with more :) cool thread Juantp1 :) thankyou xx

For some strange reason I would of loved to hear him sing The Circle of Life :D
I can just imagine him belting the opening line....
"NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTS INGONYAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BAGITHIIIII BABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" :cheeky:

Great song choices!

One of my favorites has always been Pour Some Sugar On Me. That will always be a Def Leppard song, but I would have loved to see what he would have done with it.

Hey- you never know when I might be around... go easy on Mr. Bongiovi ;)

Wouldn't be awesome to listen MJ performing those amazing Bon Jovi's songs?

Its not about if its his genre or not, its about how amazing would have been listen MJ singing songs that are not his... :)

The one song I could almost always hear him sing is Walking In The Air. That is such a really great song. Which is probably why I had always loved the animated program The Snowman.

No Second Chance-Blackmore's Night

Livin' In A World (They Didn't Make)-Janet Jackson

Fields Of Gold-Sting

and this song which I think is so cute. And I really could hear Michael singing it in English.

There are probably some others. But this is all that I can think of right now.

It's All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion. I think MJ would have sounded amazing belting out this. I like SkysTheLImits suggestion of the Bad English - When I See You Smile, he would have sounded great doing that.

Prince offered Michael a song called "If I love you tonight" in 1986 and it was a reworked demo from 1978 modernised. The song survives as a Mica Paris version of 1987 and Mayte Garcia (1995 Children of the sun). It is not known if Michael recorded the song and if it exists in the vaults.

I originally started this thread back in 2013 but forgot my password from that account, but still wanted to bring it back.

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
The Great Pretender - Freddie Mercury
