10 Special Messages to Come
By Angel Howansky on July 15, 2014

Joseph Jackson

10 Special messages in 10 days – Joseph Jackson

I will be celebrating my 86th Birthday in Spain on Saturday the 26th of July. For the next 10 days, I would like to reflect on each member of my immediate family. I will candidly reflect individually on each one of them for each of the next 10 days, sharing my private memories, fun moments that stand out the most in my mind. Starting from the top with my wife Katherine.

Day -1 Katherine
By Angel Howansky on July 16, 2014

JJ and KJ

“What I can say about Katherine, is she has the most gentle soul of any one I have ever met. And she loved her children. She was really a very good mother to the children. She knew where every single one of them was at all times while she was also working. She did keep them off the street. Many don’t know this but she helped me a lot rehearsing the kids. Although she does not celebrate birthdays she knows all their birthday’s by heart. We’ve been through a lot together”

Her unique character. When Katherine and I argue as couples sometimes do, I am not worried at all if she is loud, shouts or screams at me. But when she gets really quiet, ooh that is when I know to be very very careful around her. Still water runs deep. There is so much of Michael in her.

Day 2 – Rebbie Jackson
By Angel Howansky on July 17, 2014

Rebbie Jackson -Focus

What can I say about Rebbie. She is my eldest child and as most first borns do, she carried the weight of responsibility to look after her brothers and sisters. She is a good daughter. A 100% jehovah witness. She raised all her children as Jehovah witnesses. As Katherine had to work, the responsibility fell on her to cook and look after my other kids. She helped Katherine a lot in raising the kids, and I do have much to thank her for how she carried herself through the years.

Day 3 – Jackie Jackson
By Angel Howansky on July 18, 2014

Jackie Jackson

About Jackie. He has a very strong will and does not like being told what to do. A story comes to mind during his growing up years. I bought Jackie a brand new saxophone because I wanted him to play some type of instrument besides just dancing and singing. He looked at the instrument, took it with him to school, came back home and told me as a matter of fact that he did not want it. One day, years later he came into my office and asked me “How come I am not playing any instruments. I replied, “You said you did not want it and you put it down”. He inquired why I never forced him as it would have been good for him. I never told him why not, but I knew his will was to strong back then to be forced into doing something he never wanted to do. That was why I never tried.

Day 4 – Tito Jackson
By Angel Howansky on July 19, 2014

Tito-cover

What can I say about Tito. He would have been a good diplomatic political leader. He raised his boys the right way and taught them all the good stuff. I am very very proud of the way he raised his sons, the 3T’s. What made the 3T’s so good is they copied after their father. Tito had the patience to teach them. Some of them sleep with keyboards right by their bedside, so if they get up in the middle of the night with a tune in their head, they write it down, practise as not to forget it. They are excellent writers, good producers and good entertainers. He always had cool way about him and my hat goes off to him for the great job he has done with raising my incredible grandsons.

Thanks Joe. I think this is a nice way to celebrate an 86th birthday.

I thought he would have some more heartfelt emotions for Katherine. Her piece seems so bare. Yeah we all knew Katherine helped him with rehearsals and that is why some fans are upset with her that she did not do anything about the beatings. He forgot that Tito did not really raise his sons. What he says about Rebbie about being the eldest and what she had to do, was more or less the same thing Michael said about Rebbie in the book. What I notice is that for both Michael and Joe you don't get that emotional impact that you get when someone talks about a very dear one that they have fond memories about.

I like this, but I find after 86 years you remember some great and wonderful stories about your children and wife and you relate them with great detail and emotion, and I find that lacking in his piece. Is this the main thing that comes into your mind about your wife and children after all those years watching them grow, taking care of them, I mean there is a huge dynamic that goes into family life and the rearing of children. I know my elderly relatives used to give some great stories and details about family members and such stories have you laughing, going waw, make you think, feel sad, etc. I am not getting that from Joe.

Day 5 – Jermaine Jackson
By Angel Howansky on July 20, 2014

Jermain-Cover

Jermaine is the type of Kid who is very sensitive and extremely good at playing the base guitar. I have not met anyone who can play the base better than him. He loved to play the base. He taught some of his kids to play the guitar too! Actually one of his kids a few years ago was playing the lead guitar with him on stage. I have always felt that no one can sing a ballad song better than Jermaine. He has a God given talent to sing ballads better than anyone in this world. I am not saying this simply because he is my son. I have been around the block and know quality when I hear it. I only wish he sang them more often than he does.

This is Joe Jackson...being Joe Jackson. When I read this title, the last thing I expected was reading anything heartfelt or moving LOL

But I suppose it was "nice" of him to make an attempt :p

Typed out, it all sounds nice. Probably because it was written by his publicist. Wait till he opens his mouth. As always, it will be the same old insensitive tripe he manages to spew. Bye Joe.

I am waiting for the Michael piece. Let's see what he has to say. Glad he feels Jermaine is the best ballad singer out there.

Well, no wonder why some of the Jackson's come across as cold. I wasn't expecting anything heartfelt or warm either from a man who ruled his household with an iron fist. It was a kind of decent attempt to say something nice.

I baptized my laptop screen with water laughing at THAT. Jermaine isn't the best ballad singer in his own f*ckin' FAMILY. None of them can hold a candle to Mike!

I am curious; if he thinks Jermaine is the best ballad singer, what would he say Michael's best is? I noticed he mentioned how the boys were good models for their kids, so let's see what he has to say about Michael in that respect.

This. . . (they all look at him with $ signs in their eyes. Damn shame, too)

I guess Joe has never listened to Stevie Wonder sing a ballad or John Legend, Lionel Richie,Paul McCartney, Phil Collins or even Drake. Jermaine doesn’t hold a candle to any of them.

Wow - I guess it's nice that Joe thinks so highly of his son Jermaine. However, maybe Joe's super high opinion of Jerm's talent is behind Jerm's super inflated ego. While Jermaine is a competent bass player and ballad singer, Joe obviously hasn't met many great bassists if he thinks (and tells Jermaine) that Jerm is even the best bass player, let alone best ballad singer out there. Jermaine wasn't the best balladeer, even in his own family, let alone in the industry (Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie and numerous others were better). In his own family, Jerm certainly was not a better balladeer than Michael (who was so talented at ballads that even as just a child, he made people feel sentimental toward a freaking RAT!). I think even Janet is better (Again, Come Back to Me, Let's Wait Awhile, Anytime Anyplace, Funny How Time Flies) than Jerm.

Joe has claimed before that Jerm was the best singer in the family, so I wonder how he reconciles that with Jerm's modest success. Both Motown & Arista issued CDs they claimed are Jerm's "greatest hits", but few seem to be actual "hits."

Jermaine Jackson's Greatest Hits and Rare Classics (Motown)
1. Daddy's Home 2. That's How Love Goes 3. You're In Good Hands 4. Let's Be Young Tonight 5. You Need To Be Loved 6. Castles Of Sand 7. Where Are You Now 8. You're Supposed To Keep Your Love For Me 9. Let's Get Serious 10. Little Girl Don't You Worry 11. You Like Me Don't You 12. I'm Just Too Shy 13.Let Me Tickle Your Fancy 14. Paradise In Your Eyes 15. Very Special Part 16. Burnin' Hot.

Jermaine Jackson's Greatest Hits (Arista)
1. Dynamite 2. Do What You Want To Do 3. When The Rain Begins To Fall Duet With Pia Zadora 4. (closest Thing To) Perfect 5. I Think It's Love 6. Do You Remember Me, 7. Words Into Action 8. Sweetest Sweetest 9. Precious Moments 10. Voices In The Dark 11. Make It Easy On Love; 12. Give A Little Love 13. Two Ships (In The Night); 14. You Said, You Said 15. True Lovers.

It look like to me he want Jermaine to sing more then Michael like be the lead singer but Motown had other plan.

It just shows Joe is not as good as he wants people to believe, especially if he thinks no one can sing ballad like Jermy. He made Jermoney J5 lead, until Katherine told him Michael is better and the rest of it is history:D

Why wouldn't Joe think highly of Jermaine after all Jermaine is just like him. A lying cheating dead beat

Yes it`s kind of sad. He had not really to say something about Tito, instaed of him he praises Titos sons and we all know the raising-credit doesn`t belong to Tito.

Well, next day next message.

Day 6 – LaToya Jackson
By Angel Howansky on July 21, 2014

Latoya Jackson

Latoya: Latoya is the type of young lady who loves to Entertain. I think she would have been a great interior and fashion designer. She is very particular and likes the finer things in life. She has her show going on now with the OWN Network and is engaged to someone I like, Jeffre. She has invited me on her show multiple times and makes certain to attend any of my events. I have grown very close to her over the years. She has surprised me in a very positive way. Never in my dreams did I imagine her showing me this much appreciation and love. She calls me all the time and is one of the few who went on TV and said “My father had a stroke”. I am proud to call her my daughter and wish nothing but the best for her

This is purely an extended press release for Joe Jackson promoting his family. It is all about the 'talent' in the family as it relates to the field of entertainment. it is purely self-serving - perhaps a part of the promotion strategy for "Making Michael".

I have a feeling the ones Joe will say the most “touching" things about are the ones who are the most like him. Jermaine, LaToya, Janet and Randy. They reflect his selfish, hateful side the best so of course he is proud. Michael is the money maker and the one the fans care about so he will play nice and tell the same old tired, public stories about him. Same goes for KJ. Rebbie is KJ's clone so she is off limits too.

It's clear Joe really doesn't know his family personally very well and that's because I think he views them all as personal property not beloved family members.

Hey this one is much better. It seems he is warming up. He is surprised and happy that she keeps in touch with daddy and is happy that she let the public know he had a stroke. Most likely to him that shows she cares. It seems Joe wants some love too. Maybe the kids did not show him love because of his attitude, behavior, & personality, but it seems he needed to know he is loved just like Michael did. Very interesting revelation to me; people don't know how much they tell on themselves by a simple comment.

Anyway notice he talks more about what Latoya is doing now and not his memories of Latoya growing up. Doesn't he have some fond memories of her when she lived at home or when she was in her 30s, 40s?

I have not met anyone who can play the base better than him.
Maybe Joe didn´t meet so many or maybe he just forgot them.
He seems to have forgot many good balladsingers too.

I could help but laughing at Joe being as subtle as ever:D
Latoya has new single out and her father says a day later she would have been great interior and fashion designer:giggle:

That was an odd thing to say that Latoya was one of the few who went on telly to say he had a stroke?
It sounds like he wants media attention at any form or shape, even broadcasting he had a stroke.
To be brutally honest, not that many even cares whether he had stroke or not, or if he disappear from the face of the earth.

Sounds like his other cubs didn't care much about his stroke or if he disappear from the face of the earth either. Can't really blame them.

I always thought Joe pushed his kids so hard to be stars, because he's the one who really wanted to be a star, but just didn't have enough talent. (Years ago, LaToya said Joe can't dance at all. Ironic that he was beating the kids for missing dance steps.) Joe just managed to use his more talented son(s) to get the attention and trappings of stardom he desired, including all the groupies willing to sleep with him to get to the J5 or as an alternative to the actual J5 members (like Joh'vonnie's mother who reportedly originally wanted Jackie, but Jackie wasn't interested in her). Of all the things Joe could have said in these few sentences about the times he has shared with LaToya over her 55+ years as his daughter, his praise of LaToya for telling the media about his stroke sounds like he still very much wants to be talked about in the media and by the public as though he's a "star."

Funny how he's indirectly admitting that LaToya is probably better suited to be a designer rather than a singer. However, about Joe's view of Jermaine as the BEST ballad singer...

Here's Jermaine singing several of MJ's ballads, including "LADY IN MY LIFE." I guess Joe would say these are better than the originals by MJ?
