People,

I am so excited by the new track Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars released, called 'Uptown Funk'.

After hearing this song I was so excited I decided to dig deeper into his career. Seems like he was involved in the 2010 'Michael' project. See below:

"In 2010, Ronson was given a vocal track to a song titled "Lovely Way", sung by Michael Jackson, to produce for Jackson's posthumous album Michael, although he never physically met Jackson. He submitted the track, but it did not make the track listing for Michael. Ronson said about the rumours surrounding the vocals on the track (due to the controversy surrounding the Cascio tracks on that same album), "It was definitely him singing. I was given a vocal track to work with but I never actually met Michael. [...] It's in the vein of Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and John Lennon's 'Imagine'."

New song! Unheard! I am so excited to hear this in the near future! What about you guys?

^ I don't know why he says he never met MJ when he said earlier he met MJ when he was a child and he hang out with Sean Lennon at Neverland. Maybe he just means he never met him as an adult to work with him.

Maybe he meant that he never really got the opportunity to professionally work with MJ?

I literally just watched the SNL performance of Uptown funk and have you seen they used 2 moves from the Jacksons ? later that one dance move was incorporated into Smooth criminal background dancers routine. feels refreshing to see this again on the screen.

Agreed! It was very nice to see that this sound and moves are coming back. Bruno Mars is an artist I like very much at the moment.

a mark ronson and mj collaboration was my dream project when he was still alive. hope that song mark ronson did get to work on eventually sees the light of day
