haha-this is great. I wonder if "being too grisly" per Top of the Pops helped sales? And Louis Farrakhan cracks me up-I remember when he came out with those "sissy" statements. Which is it-too grisly or too sissy-fied? He certainly changed his tune later, didn't he?

Yeah, I remember that "sissy" comment from Farrakhan as well. Well, he finally saw the light at least. :p
 
The good old days when people could actually make money from music.
Now a days, an artist HAS to tour to make a living.

Nobody can sell that many DVDs that quickly for a short film these days. It's all "i'll watch it on youtube" :D
 
Jeeny, how many people had VCR's back in 84? Not many I'd imagine, they cost a bomb
 
Absolutely. :). I bought my first one in 86 and it took a year to pay off!!

After that, tho, I rented 'the making of Thriller' a LOT.

I dont think my parents got their first until 89- and it cost so much!
