...I've been on a bit of a Mayfield binge at the moment, listening to The Impressions, particularly the This Is My Country LP.
Songs such as "This Is My Country", "Fool For You" and "They Don't Know" are great.

I'm definitely a Curtis Mayfield fan. I like both his solo work and the material with the Impressions. Jerry Butler's recorded some great songs solo too.
