Such an amazing dancer. The robot moves from Human Nature are some of my favorite. All this talk about dates makes me wonder which dates in PHM were wrong?

Ooooh! OK! I found it. I remember it now. I also remember wishing it was just a feeeeew seconds longer. *sigh* He is beautiful. In all aspects.

Simply put Michael is music.. You put your video on mute and you can SEE the music come alive through his movement.. From the simplicity of each accent in his movement it speaks the same way his accent In his vocal (hiccups, gasps, breaths, grunts).. he has always understood the power of simplicity when presented right and the expression of all layers.. From strong hits to the slightest flick of the fingers... He danced from his toes through the tips of his fingers..

and never tried dictating what to present, simply letting the music present itself through the movement!!

It's just like you said Wordy, poetry in motion, magic.
If only for that short moment. You can't help but to be captivated by him at any given moment. :girl_sigh:

    Thanks for that.

    @KOPV, I have done that...... you're right.

when they show a clip from his birthday in Copenhagen it says 1993 when it was in 1997. they show some footage from backstage at the Victory Tour and it says 1979. the Victory tour was in 1984. but it was not just dates. but it's not just dates, when he told about meeting Princess Diana, he said it was too late to put Dirty Diana back in the show after she had told him she loved the song, but he did the song at the show she attended. he says John Landis directed 3 of his short films, he only directed 2. he says that Wesley snipes Role in Bad was his first acting part, which is not true. that's what I can remember right now, but there's probably more

From a technical standpoint perhaps you are right and and there are obviously dancers who are far more athletic but MJ made dancing his own.
There were plenty of people who could do what Fred did but he somehow made it all his own and MJ was magical in the way he danced.

    Agreed.

We also have to remember that even though he was amazing at it that Michael wasn't JUST a dancer.
AFAIK he could do everything but play an instrument at an adept level.

This to me is a big part of why Michael is the best solo artist to ever do it.
He wasn't JUST a singer, JUST a dancer, or JUST a songwriter.
He could do all three and he was amazing at all of them.
Michael didn't just have one talent, he was/is a culmination of many.

It wasn't simply his moves that made him the best dancer in my eyes.. It was the execution (performance) of the moves.. For that he is the best in my eyes!!

Did he have the most proper technique? no!! but technique in dance was created by people far past the time of dance.. They are rules that Michael was not bound to.. He combined Jazz, ideas from ballet, tap, and street dancing and made them his own.. Everything could have been interpreted into Michaels dance, from something he saw in a movie to miming..

Could we find a better tapper? Of course.. Find a better popper.. yes.. Find someone more technically inclined? Yes.. But if you are looking at someone who lives dance and is versatile outside of labels.. You'll find Michael Jackson!

May you rest in peace Wylie Draper. That spin + the "Isaac said he kissed you, beneath..." footwork is amazing. His energy makes you think he put Michael's shoes on and let magic happen. Remember the magic socks powder intro ? I would have loved to see Michael's face when he saw Wylie dance like that.

    ^ My favorite movie!
I watch it every time I know its coming on TV. And many times I just happen up on it
and happily watch it like I'm seeing it for the first time. Lol!
Wylie did a terrific job....a little too "wild" in some of his dancing, but he was still great.

    Yes, R.I.P Wylie Draper. 5 May 1969 -20 December 1993
