Girlfriend Is not the worst track on Off The Wall
The Girl Is Mine Is one of the highlights of off Thriller
State Of Shock is a bit meh
The Lost Children is a great song
I agree. while they all do have talent, Michael stood out already from the very beginning. of course, the lead singer of a group always does that. but anyway, they could have made it big themselves, as well, and that would automatically have given them more attention, for other things (like their talent), than being Michael Jacksons brother/sister, or a member of Jackson 5/The Jacksons/the Jackson family
I don't think Thriller is overrated, and it deserves all of the success it's garnered.
Was never a fan of the long, straight hair starting in 2000s. just didn't fit his overall look IMO. But hey man, you do you Mike.
I guess I should clarify with examples before I'm crucified by the girls here, hahaRemember the Time's long hair is fine (has the signature curls) vs. Living with Michael Jackson era (very straight hair). I guess it's the curls that help give Mike his signature look, IMO.
I somewhat forgot that I don't like ITC ponytail. The sideburns are OK, but that's it.

No, Girlfriend is not the worst song on OTW, It's The Falling In Love is IMO. And I love Girlfriend.
I love TGIM too, I don't care how cheesy it is.
In in recent years, I can't stand listening to We Are The World, it's too religious for my liking. His solo demo is better to me.
I can't stand the studio versions of Another Part Of Me and MITM, the live versions are WAY SUPERIOR.
Neither JGF nor Keep The Faith deserve the praise they get by fans. I wish JGF had been replaced by Price Of Fame instead.
I will support the HIStory Tour if it gets an official release. When it comes to choreography and theatrics, it's superior to The Bad Tour.
Talking about Michael in a personal level, he did very poor choices on both of his marriages. His first marriage was not a sham but it's not his most epic love story either.

Michaels hair just followed the times, but the 2000s look was mostly a wig.
I mean to 1969 he had the Marvin Gaye style crew cut popular with 60s soul singers
1969 to 1979 was the afro look, wildly in fashion then and it really dominated the Jackson 5 era. Gordy told them to grow afros as they were with it, signs of Black Pride and the kids would love them more. Joe was originally opposed when Gordy mentioned it was a brand and would be lucrative, he got on board. You may notice too each boy had a different style of afro. Jackie's was a standard but shortish halo shaped afro. Tito's was fuller on top with a wedge missing and more thinned. Jermaine had the permed afro that was bushy and elaborate looking, Marlon's afro was quite short and revealed a lot of forehead, and Michael's was Juvenile looking, quite bushy and covering a lot of his head.
I think they did this as they wanted each Jackson to standout as each would have their own following, apart from Michael and Marlon, the three older Jacksons looked quite similar, even with accessorised afros. Marlon and Michael were shorter at the start, but by 1973 Marlon had grown and 1975 Michael had too.
1979 to 1981 was the Jheri curl era, although all of them apart from Michael still had afro shaped hairdoes, but later 1980 style "piece afro" which was shorter and often oiled up, maybe with a wedge taking out like the dude from Boney M. The afros and discoey shimmer flares of the 1970s persisted into the Triumph era.
By 1983, all of the borthers had the Jheri curled mullet look that Balcks used in the mid late 80s. Michaels hairer was shorter but still Jheri curled.
By 1987 Michael was growing a very prominent mullet, which had the bangs and curls taken out around 1989 as his skin lightened as vitiligo worsened.
Around 1991/ 1992 in the Bangerous era, the mullet disappeared and he grew naturally long 1990s style hair.
He kept this look up to 2000 or so and then he had the long haired wigs from that point.
I have always liked their hair and would have an afro myself now, If I grew one.
