This is how CNN published their article first (they changed the middle picture later when people called them out, fortunately readers took screenshots):

Excusively for this site..conducted on April 2, 2004

Q: Your tribute to your mentor and close friend, Michael Jackson, on the show's finale was an absolute thriller and was incredibly moving! Do you know if Michael watched the show? If so, what did he think?

A: I think he did we contacted his office and told them about it and they said that they were going to tell Michael to watch it.

Wade was SOOOO close to mj haha... he only could contact him via his office.

Another award, this from from The 'International Documentary Association' (IDA).

LN is so notable, that almost 1 year after its premiere it seems hardly any journalists can recall its title.

This article also of course doesn't mention that HBO is a sponsor of the IDA awards. Strange that the Oscars are mentioned with regard to LN, but not with regard to any of the other programmes/ films mentioned. I've not included the whole article, just short segments.

‘For Sama’ Wins Top IDA Documentary Award; ‘Finding Neverland’ and ‘The Cave’ Also Score

....Dan Reed’s searing Michael Jackson exposé “Leaving Neverland” scored Best Multi-Part Documentary; HBO did not submit the Sundance premiere for the Oscars.

..............Netflix’s “Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé,” directed by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Ed Burke, won Best Music Documentary, accepted by musician and memoirist Moby, who offered the filmmakers in the room financing for a movie about the impact of animal agriculture on climate change.

........................Presented by her friend Chelsea Handler, Leah Remini took home the inaugural Truth to Power Award for exposing abuse within the Church of Scientology in her series “Leah Remini: Scientology and its Aftermath.” The Amicus Award went to the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press for their work in defending press freedoms for almost 50 years.

I hadn’t heard of it either. Sometimes I think they just make these awards up, because they can’t win any real awards.

Speaking of awards: The Academy has called and they want to hear about our favorite indie films.
