Pretty self-explanatory title. The two big ones for me are Dirty Laundry by Don Henley and What About by Janet Jackson. Dirty Laundry in particular seems like it would have fit well on the HIStory album, since it follows a similar theme to Tabloid Junkie, DS, and Money.

You can honestly see MJ covering that? really?
Michael was a religious person, so why not?
after 2001 he didn't chase for the highs in music, did he? So these lyrics would fit:
There's gotta be more to life
Than chasing down every temporary high
To satisfy me

Perhaps he should have covered how great thou art then if we're going down the religious path.

Not in a million years would MJ ever consider covering such rubbish as that Stacie Orrico track.

Two by Smokey I always think I'd like to have heard Michael do:

I envision this as a 1972/1973 Motown era Michael cover choice

More love

Being with you

And this one from New Edition

If it isn't love

Great choices mate, espicially Being With You and If It Isn't Love.
I'll need to have a think about this one

I know there is a clip of him singing it, but I wish we had a legit, recorded cover of When You Wish Upon A Star

Ever since the clip of him singing this during the Making of Black or White, I've been desperate to hear a full version:
