For those of you who made the purchase by Credit Card, contact the card company and ask for a "chargeback". Tell them you got the email from AXS saying they're not offering refunds. Mention the false advertising (we have all the info & evidence in this thread that you can show them). I'm 100% sure that they should help you get the full refund.

I'm not sure how it works with purchases made on Debit cards, but if you contact the banks, they should advise on what the procedure is from their side.

It doesn't matter who's fault it is ... (I still think it's Quincy's) ...the bottom line is if a show has changed and you know what you primarily purchased will not be delivered, under Consumer Law you are entitled to a refund.
I doubt it would be so easy as calling the credit card company. The promoters will claim that they do offer what they advertised ... with the addition of other material. If one asks for a chargeback and let’s assume they get it, what happens to the tickets?

We've got picture evidence that they're not gonna deliver what they've promised. 3 Albums back-to-back Vs a string of 80s hits doesn't equal the same to me. You just need to be very good at explaining this.

Once the chargeback is successful (and yes, it can take time) I'm assuming the ticket is null and void. Once the workers scan the barcode, they'll see that it is now an invalid ticket.

Last year, Ed Sheeran cancelled all tickets that were purchased through Viagogo (due to their inflated booking fees....breaching consumer law). Fans had the option to re-purchase the same ticket from the venue Box Office on the day. Some fans didn't receive their refunds from Viagogo, so the credit card companies were dealing with the chargebacks and Viagogo were hit hard financially.

I see. The important distinction, however, in that case, as you say, is that Ed Sheeran (or his promoters in my understanding) cancelled those tickets. Ticket sellers are obliged to refund in such a case. In our case we have a dispute with the promoters rather than the ticket sellers. I wished to complain to the ticket selling companies about their responsibility on advertisements they host. I read the terms and conditions and they claim they (axs or ticketmaster) hold no responsibility about advertisements from third companies. I asked SENBLA for the set list and why it’s not known yet and have not received any answer 1 week now. Ticket sellers will claim that the promoter says the show will go on as advertised with some unrelated Quincy songs as “an encore”.

This concert promotion change was discussed on the UK Radio 4 'You and Yours' consumer programme thus morning (R4 is the main BBC 'factual' nationwide radio station, and carries a lot of 'weight'). I'll try and find a link to add here, after the programme finishes broadcasting.

A fan called Rosie Fowler emailed the programme and told them about the concert advertised change. The programme did an online interview with a music journalist called Laura Snapes from 'The Guardian', (which as we know supports 'Me Too' and has published multiple articles adverse to MJ).

The programme interviewer asked Laura if this advertised change was just a case of the promoter being too specific in it's earlier advertising, eg 'If you go to Glastonbury', you won't necessarily know what music to expect'. Laura Snapes replied that no, this was different, because if you went to see your favourite band and they did not play your favourite songs, then that was just bad luck, but this (the concert promotion) was different and could be an issue to take to 'Trading Standards' (which is the system whereby consumers can complain about unfair trading in the UK.

Apparently the programme put fan Rosie in direct touch with the promoters, and they offered her ' a trip backstage and a bottle of champagne'. (She bought the tickets as a birthday gift for her boyfriend). Rosie declined, and said they (the promoters) were missing the point.

The programme interviewer then mentioned LN, and Laura Snapes commented that there were different groups eg fans who defended Michael Jackson, and other people who eg. just had his music on playlists for Gym sessions etc. Laura ended by saying: Michael's 'brand has been damaged, but is too big to fail'.

(Also Laura Snapes, if you ever read this comment, Michael is INNOCENT. Please read the following thread for endless REAL evidence from court cases and interviews with significant people. : https://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/t...bson-Safechuck

I wouldn't waste your time trying to convince the idiots from the Guardian.

    But thanks for sharing this.

From a what I understand people have not gotten their money back. It’s a crazy situation of false advertisement and ridiculous excuses. I wonder what will happen Sunday night. I plan to be there.
