#BuyThriller campaign

There is an ongoing campaign to boost Thriller sales this year #BuyThriller.


Just know that is you do it, you can stream Thriller as often as you like, ideally from the studio album on spotify, amazon Music etc.

BUT know that it might be more effective to buy Thriller as well as stream it.

For example, in the UK 1 purchase is the same as 150 streams.

So if you pay 99p on Amazon UK you are effectively streaming the track 150 times. So because I have some money this month, my tactic is to buy the track from as many legal stores as possible, AND I am streaming the song too.


Another note, if streaming, DONT mute the volume. Just leave it low if you don't actually want to enjoy the sone. Muting the volume means the stream won't be counted to the charts.

Fair enough. I'm not going to argue.

I have taken that stance with MJ Estate releases in the past (I didn't buy OTW for example) but I'm supporting this one because it's important for people to see that it IS still ok to play MJ loud and proud and for them to see that others are doing exactly that through their streaming, purchases and at halloween parties etc.

Sometimes I feel it's more important to support the MJ brand than to save myself a few quid.

Assuming it performs as strongly as it has in previous years, it doesn't need our help.

It wouldn't make sense to upload it on Youtube. They will released it on Blu-Ray at some point.

It would. They'd make much more money nowadays from Youtube than from physical releases. At this point I don't care about physical releases, they just waited too long.
