Only in English and on 242 pages, this book by the former manager of Michael Jackson tells how two years after the death of the King of Pop, Dieter Wiesner spent time with Katherine Jackson who said to him then: You know, you were with him for a long time. You have to tell the story! You must tell my son's true story!

Dieter Wiesner explains in his book that Michael Jackson's mother helped him to realize that it was his duty and his responsibility to tell "the true story" of his friend. The author says that this book is the direct result of inspiration and encouragement from Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson.

If we have not read this book and therefore cannot give our opinion, know that its presentation explains that it contains many official documents as well as the transcription of more than fifteen unpublished voice messages that Michael Jackson had left on the author's phone. They are thus presented for the very first time following a legal battle won by Dieter Wiesner against the Estate.

Supervising Neverland: The Untold Stories Paperback – February 24, 2020

    by Dwayne Swingler

This book is about my time and events with Michael Jackson. It details the crazy way we met and how I quickly became his supervisor and why. It gives the reader a view through my lens-the ups and downs with me in his trial and dealing with his dad and his manager, the offers I presented to him, the movie that almost was, the truth I learned about Michael and Joe Jackson's relationship, my supernatural experience at Neverland, my conversation with Michael about Eminem, and of course, the child molestation accusations. As the author, I literally strived to make you feel like a fly on the wall, just watching the whole story unfold. This book is packed with many untold stories. It's truly a must-read!

I am the thinker, the thinking, the thought. I am the seeker, the seeking, the sought. I am the dewdrop, the sunshine, the storm. I am the desert, the ocean, the sky. I am the Primeval Self in you and I. Michael J. Jackson

    by Dwayne Swingler
Dwayne Swingler has a Facebook page, where he is connecting with MJ fans and promoting his book. It seems as though it's a positive book about Neverland.

This is what he has written on FB:

Hello MJ fans. I hope everyone is staying safe. This is Dwayne Swingler and like I mentioned before I use to be the Supervisor of Neverland for Michael Jackson back in 2003. I recently wrote a book about my experience there called “Supervising Neverland The Untold Stories.” The book is doing very well and I am getting wonderful feed back. Being a Michael Jackson fan myself I wanted to share with you all the type of stories that are in this book.

I remember walking into my office which was located near the backdoor of the main house at Neverland. I was rushing because the phone was ringing and I wanted to answer it before they hung up or it went to voicemail. I grab the phone in the middle of a ring. It one of the guards at the front gate. I said this is the supervisor what’s going on? He told me that there was a lady and her sick son at the front gate they wanted to see Michael. I said what do you mean sick? He then put the lady on the phone and she began to explain to me that they had traveled from over seas and that her son was dying from cancer and that his only wish was to meet Michael Jackson, so she traveled to the USA to try and make the impossible, possible. I was stung and overwhelmed by this request. With my heart filled with love and sadness I walked to Michael and told him the situation. Without hesitation he told me to allow them in and to feed them and let them see a movie or the animals and that he would stop by at some point before they leave to meet him. I couldn’t believe Michael’s generosity. The kid met Michael and had the time of his life! Also Michael did this with no cameras around for promotional shots. It was truly an unbelievable moment.

Hey, Book Club. What’s everybody reading these days?

I finally picked up Jermaine’s book, and only a few pages in, I already have two questions I’d love to hear your opinions on.

Number one: One of Jermaine’s explanations for MJ’s habit to wear masks is that the whole family was brought up with a strong awareness of germs to the point where MJ was worried about using other people’s pens to sign autographs. And this is something I hear a lot from people around me and I heard it on news reports and everywhere: MJ was a germaphobe. But how does that add up with him visiting hospitals in Manila and orphanages in Romania without his mask? Hugging people, shaking hands, etc. And he also kept asking people for a pen because the didn’t bring one. In all the hundreds of hours of video footage that we have by now, I never saw a moment where MJ made the impression of being a germaphobe. Quite the contrary, actually. So, I was surprised to see Jermaine bringing this up as one of the reasons.

Number two: I was also surprised to see Jermaine refer to MJ as the “7th child“. Now, I hope I’m not displaying some kind of cultural ignorance with this question, and if I do, I apologize, but wouldn’t MJ only be the 7th child if you don’t count Brandon in? It appears unusual to me to not count a child in just because he didn’t get to live.

What do you think? I know it must have been a while for all of you since you read that book, so these are probably newbie questions for you.

Other than that, it’s great to read Jermaine’s childhood memories so far, and I’m looking forward to reading how everything unfolded, from his perspective.

I haven't read Jermaine's book, but I don't trust him one bit. I haven't trusted him since he wrote Word to the Badd. What's more, I don't think he really knew Michael very well at all and the germaphobe claim is rubbish, as far as I'm concerned. There is plenty of evidence to show that Michael was unconcerned about germs, throughout his entire life.

Michael IS the 7th child; Brandon was still-born, so I wouldn't expect him to be counted as a sibling at all.
Katherine and Joe Jackson always only ever said they had nine children - not ten, with one deceased.

Right, the germaphobe claim sounded really unlikely to me, and it’s sad that he’s supporting that tabloid story. In the book, he mentions that he himself is a germaphobe, so maybe he’s projecting this onto his brother. Whenever I read autobiographies, I’m always amazed at how vividly everyone seems to remember all the details. I’m tempted to believe they all fill in the blanks in ways that best complete their stories. So, I’m taking everything with a grain of salt anyway.

Oh, ok. I guess that’s a cultural difference then, since he already had a name. I found it confusing, as Jermaine in the same chapter mentions how Marlon talked about Brandon at Michael’s memorial service and that twins never lose their connection. That didn’t seem to fit the 7th child narrative, but maybe I’m just looking at everything through the magnifying glass too much. Thanks for your input.
