As I have so much time on my hands these days I started thinking about MJ as an adult artist starting from roughly 1976. I divided his adult career into 4 eras in which I selected roughly my favorite tracks: The Jacksons/Goin Places/Destiny era, Off the Wall/Triumph/Thriller era, Victory/Bad era and finally Dangerous/HIStory era. I find these more or less the era's where he had a distinctive sound for each period ( a song like dangerous sounds way too different than f.e. the bad era synth driven music etc).
I left out the last part of his career because I simply don't find enough I like from this period. If you want to include it yourself, feel free.
