Victory tour and everything that follows is all done in big stadiums (40 000 + people) but what about before those dates?
They broke attendance records as the J5 in the early 70s but we are talking about 15 000 - 20 000 spectator venues. Did they ever do bigger concerts pre 1984?

Nope it was only during the 1984 Victory tour that they did stadiums 40000+ fans on most nights of that tour

Wikipedia says that The Jacksons performed 5 nights at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg (capacity:37,139), another 4 nights at the Stade de l'Amitié in Dakar (capacity: 60,000), 2 nights at the Green Point Stadium (capacity:18,000) and then another three nights at the Orlando Stadium, during the Destiny Tour.

I very much doubt this! At one point Wikipedia said that they performed in December 1980 during the Destiny Tour (even though Triumph had already come out at that point).

The Jacksons were extremely popular, no doubt. But I don't think they could sell out 8 nights at the Orlando Stadium.

(Btw, Stade de l'Amitié didn't open until 1985.)
