Note: I put this in a separate thread, as I think this is much too big to be lumped up in the history 25 thread.
Since the George Floyd killing I have observed social media closely and to no suprise They Dont Care About is getting extremely much traffic on youtube especially, and the comments are just raining in, and they are so incredible positive towards MJ
My question, should the the Estate consider re-releasing the song, especially at its the 25th anniversary for History. Or doing something special to promote it? Its such an important song, it could become Michaels most influential song of all time easily.
What I want to accomplish is having MJs music being at focus again after the Leaving neverland nonsense. And to be able to that you need to normalize people discussing and listening to MJ again for that purpose this sad events could play into our hands as many people are now listening to They Dont Care About Us and do not give a darn about any allegations. And thats what we need, as soon as it becomes not stigmatized to listen to MJ, we have won a round.
I saw the Scream/Childhood clothing released, I just think with thats going on They Dont Care About us deserves something more and especially with whats going on, there is a big oppurtunity.
Your thoughts on this topic? I assume you have noticed what I have noticed? They Dont Care About Us being everywhere on twitter etc.
I am doing a rally on twitter for this, please re-tweet if you like to support:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Why is there not a campaign by MJ fans to make They Dont Care About Us number 1 on the chart? If you check the prison & brazil version on YT, they are EXPLODING with views and positive comments, its AMAZING to see! The Estate should have already re-released the song! <a href="https://twitter.com/tajjackson3?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@tajjackson3</a> <a href="https://t.co/gGiAhnuCPs">pic.twitter.com/gGiAhnuCPs</a></p>— Leif Bjorling (@zlekovsky) <a href="https://twitter.com/zlekovsky/status/1267573790671765505?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 1, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
