LONELINESS

Loneliness is like a question put out there in the cosmos,
by people on earth who need to know why...
loneliness is a cancer of the heart that goes untreated for many.
WHY, why must we be lonely? Why do we wear a mask to hide our true inner selves?
What is the cure for loneliness, what is the cure for this phenomenal illness that can easily go undetected by even the best doctors?
Can the cure be simple, or must it go on being complex and just a breath out of reach? Maybe the cure is ...unity, a caring friend, remembering to be simple and self forgiving...
Maybe the cure is changing our course of life even if it takes courage.
Loneliness IS a cancer we can cure together...

Good Morning...

Morning time is the best time for coffee, dark chocolate and a nice interesting read news paper...
Morning time is the time for smelling Eggo waffles, your favorite syrup and smoked ham... maybe add a tiny vase with a flower on your table.
Morning time, is a time to walk your dog, or sit on some fresh grass and breath the fresh air...
Morning time is a time for a brisk walk, head phones and low music...
It's a time for children to greet their parents in their room and make supposedly "edible" food.
It's a time to set new goals, for a new day.

Shepherd, what art thou pursuing?
Heedless running to thy ruin;
Share our joy, our pleasure share,

Leave thy passion till tomorrow,
Let the day be free from sorrow,
Free from love, and free from care!

Shepherd, what art thou pursuing?
Heedless running to thy ruin;
Share our joy, our pleasure share.
John Gay, Acis and Galatea (1732), set to music by Händel

For World Poetry Day, a quote about poetry

"Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood."

T.S.Eliot

"Poetry is not only dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before."

Audre Lorde

"Sometimes poetry is inspired by the conversation entered into by reading other poems."

John Barton

"If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel."

Jim Morrison

"Even when poetry has a meaning, as it usually has, it may be inadvisable to draw it out... Perfect understanding will sometimes almost extinguish pleasure."

A. E. Housman
