What are your thoughts on this new project put together by Spike Lee?

Thumbs up from me. :)

Yes, it’s a bit disappointing that he didn’t use film footage, but we can’t know the reasons for this. I like the edit. I hope it goes viral and inspires the protests worldwide.

And an unexpectedly bold move on the part of the Estate, I must say.

Spike understands the message of TDCAU as much as Michael. This new video delivers that message to a modern audience as the old ones did back in the 90's.

Great video and thank you Spike,

Great video and thank you Spike,

I fully agree! :D

Quality issues aside with some of the shots, I really enjoyed this new take on an old video. Am I right in saying some of the footage of Michael at the end is previously unseen?

This time even if Spike haven't used the film source the video quality is pretty good anyway.

It seems to be a touch out of sync here and there. Wasn’t sure about this at first, but I noticed it the second time around.

But anyway, the message gets through, and I think the news footage that Spike chose is perfect.

I don't know if officially connecting Michael Jackson's short films to the BLM movement is a good idea. This is getting too political. To be honest, I don't know if Michael would even support the BLM movement if he were still alive.

Black Lives Matter is a global human rights movement. I’m sure Michael would support this, along with Spike Lee, Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, and Bernice King – to name just a few.

Wow....I cant believe you think he wouldn't!

What MJ has been through and how he has been mistreated and falsely accused, yes he would.

Why wouldn’t a proud BLACK MAN support a movement that brings awareness to INJUSTICES of black people. Let’s not ever forget that Michael was born a black man and died a black man. He was against racism and bigotry. The way he was treated was based on jealousy and RACISM and that’s the bottomline.

Equality is not political—unless fascism is involved—it's just basic human decency. Why would Michael oppose a movement that wants equal rights and treatment, for anyone, let alone his own race?

I think Spike Lee did a good job with the video and I commend the Estate for endorsing it.

MJ was doing B.L.M before it even existed!

Human rights is not a political issue. Its just called political by those who don't agree with it and dont have the balls to say so.

Spike Lee did a great job, I really like it! It was a great initiative from the Estate as well.
Michael's music always sounds so fresh it doesn't matter how many years ago it was released.

Powerful words!

Rev. Al Sharpton said yesterday: “I hope he knows we’re continuing the struggle.”

Great video. - MJ has been so relevant in 2020 with both HTW and TDCAU

I don't recall ever seeing Michael burning down buildings, looting, or beating up people in the street.

I didn't watch the video but I am guessing that Spike Lee didn't include any of that footage.

Of course not, because it doesn’t represent the Black Lives Matter movement.

I see this a lot, some idiots do some stupid stuff and then the whole movement is apparently bad and black people should stop campaigning.

Yep, people tend to give other reasons instead of just admitting it. I see it time and time again.

Exactly. Anything to keep Black people in shackles. MJFam should know better than to buy into that narrative.

I guess mj smashing up the car etc in B.O.W .......? what was that all about!

It was actually shown that when looting and burning was happening after one killing the person carrying out the act was filmed and was actually a white supremacist a known member of a group. Doing it so the BLM protesters would be blamed

You will always get the bandwagon jumpers who carry out criminal acts hiding behind other protestors. It happens everytime there are protests in every country in the world regardless of what the protest is about. That doesn't take away from what the protests and real protesters are about. If you are more upset about looting and burning than you are about unarmed innocent ppl been killed and maimed then you are part of the problem not the soloution
