Fans have seen a castle and what looks like a train track on the propety of neverland , so could this mean mr burkle is restoring neverland?

Re: ron burkle restoring neverlandf?

I actually think this is to do with The Biopic but could be that Ron wants to make it into a Graceland? With the news about the Biopic going ahead I feel its getting the old rides etc for the film but I also think that after this has been shot Ron will keep them at Neverland.

Re: ron burkle restoring neverlandf?

Hope so

Re: ron burkle restoring neverlandf?

No applications have been lodged for permission to film, so I doubt these events have anything to do with a biopic. Ron Burkle always restores the properties that he buys. That's what he likes to do - restore them and preserve them.

The building permits that have been issued so far, are for roof restorations to the train station, the barn and one other building. The road from the outer gate, all the way up to the main house appears to have been laid/re-laid with asphalt, also.

Also, there's a new Estate reply on the official website to a question about Neverland.

Re: Ron Burkle Restoring Neverland?

Exciting! Even if it does not open to the general public, there is still some hope that with this arrangement that fans may be able to see Neverland in the most authentic way possible.

Re: Ron Burkle Restoring Neverland?

Glad to see someone who knew MJ bought it. And glad to see he is reparing and restoring Neverland. - Hopefully he will change the name back to Neverland again.

Wouldnt he need to go to the courts for that?

To change the name? - I don't think so. If I want a sign on my house and call it Neverland I guess I can do so.

BUT - maybe the name is trademaked - so it casn not be used commercially. But just to call your own property Neverland, I think everyone can.

Would be odd if someone could own the name because Peter Pan is in public domain I think. I don't think Estate could trademark it. I could be wrong.

The logo is still in trademark anyway

The Neverland Ranch trademarks are all protected by the Triumph International company (the company that handles intellectual property for the singer’s Neverland Ranch estate).

Most of these trademarks were filled nearly ten years ago (in 2012) and since then they have been renewed periodically, others were new and were filled later for the first time.

The Neverland Ranch trademarks are not limited only to the singer’s actual estate, but they cover also other (mainly entertainment) fields.

They also cover: magazine publication services, fan club services, multimedia materials (like, films, television series, etc), or even educational projects like classes, or workshops.

This means that you are not allowed to officially call your own property ‘Neverland’, and if you want to do that you may have to firstly get the appropriate written permission for using that trademark.

So that means the place cant be called neverland again?

I don't know too much about Burkle and what will happen but so far I like that guy.

Nice to see Neverland in a good state again.

I'm glad they are doing something with the property, I just have to spot out that these rides are not the originals that MJ had.

The rides have been seen at different fairs across the U.S
Yeah, I've seen a couple in town here at an ostrich Festival. I just wanted to make sure other fans understood that it's not the actual rides. I just don't want people thinking that when they finish with what they are doing, it represents the pinnacle of what it was... It still looked very different!

Did anybody visit the MJ Vegas residence when they had the Liberace museum there?
