I read on an extensive MJ discography site that there was some "audiophile pressing" of the E.T. Storybook in the US.
Source is in French:
The sentence is actually a bit confused and doesn't tell much detail.
Does it mean that there was a specific pressing with a "better" sound?
I thought that the only special edition (other than promos and the Turkish edition) was the one with a picture disc in it with music from John Williams... A picture disc is, by definition, NOT an audiophile item.
And it there is such an edition, how can it be recognised ? Or does that mean that all US and Canadian pressings are audiophile?
I actually have Japan and US pressings of it, I could tell that they sounded slightly different. But I couldn't really tell right away if one sounded better than the other. (And due to time management matters, I won't be able to give it too much time for a while.)
