I just watched it and I could see that he is wearing loafers. I don't think I'm the ahole.
 
I forgot how much I love this video. I always like threads which pose questions that make me think and/or go back and look at things, so thank you @wondrouzmj for posing the question! Michael is definitely wearing the loafers in the video, of course, so that he could dance more effectively. Not sure why there's another photo of him in the glorious "Come Together" boots, but there we have it.

I don't think come together & liberian girl coincide with each other. I think when he took that c.t shoot it wasn't for liberian girl at all. Just like the girl is mine cover. That photo is from 1981
