Stevie Wonder (born May 13, 1950) is a singer, songwriter, producer, musician, humanitarian and social activist. Although his name at birth was Stevland Judkins, he later changed his name to Stevland Morris. His mother's biography states that his surname was legally changed to Morris, "an old family name," in 1961 when he signed with Motown. Wonder has recorded more than 30 Top 10 hits, won two dozen Grammys, also one for lifetime achievement, and been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters halls of fame.

The word genius is thrown around much too often, but in Stevie's case it really fits. He's incredible. I love so many of his songs.

I love him too. He lost his mother in 2006....:(

Re: Stevie Wonder

Simply a musical genius and an inspiration, with a vision that goes far beyond the visible eye.

Re: Stevie Wonder

He's exactly that WONDERful. To me, it's #1 MJ, #2 Stevie.

He's so great, very gifted..

Re: Stevie Wonder

All I do is one of my favourite songs ever, I've had it on repeat for most of the day. Driving home from the hospital with the dark night setting in and the city lights flying by, it felt good, lol!

Michael is on backing vocals! With Walter Williams from the O'Jays (i think)

Re: Stevie Wonder!!!

I've met very people who didn't like his music, but what can I say about Stevie? The man is a genius and "Innervisions" is a masterpiece.

Stevie couldn't get MJ live, so he had his background singer dress up like MJ to do "GET IT".

Re: Stevie Wonder!!!

Haha, I thought it was rather corny they had Keith John (Stevie's longtime backup singer) dress up like MJ, but at least the performance was good.

I'd kill to see that footage from the Bad tour with Stevie and MJ live doing "Just Good Friends".

Re: Stevie Wonder!!!

anyone know who designed INNERVISION's album art? i wouldn't be surprised if it was Stevie himself seeing as how he beautifully referenced vision and sight on numerous records.

Re: Stevie Wonder!!!

It was Stevie himself.

I'm sure he had help bringing his vision to life, but that was his design. The album cover, the album name and song "Visions" itself are a passageway into Stevie's mind.

* Just looked it up and it said the cover was done by Efram Wolff, but I've read numerous sources that it was Stevie who articulated what he wanted as the cover.

Stevie is amazing. That goes without saying though. I would kill to see him and Michael performing "Just Good Friends" too. Michael's gotta release that footage man, lol.

thanks and it would seem so since the illustration (at least to me) shows a strong message of how a medically blind man can see beyond and further than what is expected. his visual songs are always so metaphorical that way - i wouldn't expect anyone but Stevie to come up with that design.
