Michael Featured In German Media

Since the promotion of 'Thriller 25' started, Michael Jackson has become more and more popular again in the media. In Germany, 'Thriller 25' is "Album Of The Week" on the German radio station HR3 and Michael is the "Superstar Of The Month" on German tv station Sat.1.

On their special web page (German only) you can find information about the album, comments from fans and a competition to win the album every evening on the radio show "hr3 madhouse" and online.

Sat.1, an important German TV station, chose Michael as "Superstar Of The Month" and airs promotion for 'Thriller 25'. They play a 30 second video clip with information about the album.

Since the German media hasn't really been supportive of Michael the past few years...

this has nothing to do at all with fans or the media

these are promotion deals between Sat.1 and SonyBMG and between HR3 and SonyBMG

SonyBMG Germany decided to not using much posters and stuff like that, but to concentrate on TV and radio promotion instead which was indeed the better choice ;)

coz i just looked, and the latest chart update is from 15th february, saying MJ thriller 25 is the highest new-entry, at #5.

those were the wrong charts: #5 is a position on a music retailer with online-shop called WOM (world of music)

Yay! Go Germany. I can't believe all of these high chart positions with a re-release!!

And people say Michael Jackson is no longer relevant!
