Default Recommend an Album

A lot of people wish to widen their music collection and people love discovering new music. So I thought I'd start a thread people to recommend an album or albums they love or for people to ask for recommendations by telling us what type of music they're in to.

I'll start by recommending a sometimes overlooked album that I think everyone should hear.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses

In this vague world of sorrow and frailty, only the Artist can leave an eternal footprint in the sands of time, thereby resisting the strongest of winds, and coming as near to immortality as possible.

You made my life special...and I will forever be grateful for that. I WILL pay back to you, I swear. I love you,Michael...and I'll love you as long as I am breathing...

    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

And I'm hoping that my prayers will see
the day that You'll come back to me...

(Let's say you wanna post the Mika album cover, the url is the web site of the picture: http://img.tesco.com/pi/entertainmen...749_CD_L_F.jpg )

Then just put these tags around the url:

    Like this:

    Anyway, a great thread.
    I recommend Erykah Badu's Baduizm.
Let's say you wanna relax and listen to music that makes you feel like you're floating on air, put this album on (make sure the bass is on real loud, lol) and liiiiiiistennnnn. Lovely.

I'd recommend checking out anything by Marillion. Especially their 2004 album, Marbles, which is IMO their masterpiece.

Here's some more albums that are worth checking out:

Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
    Tonic - Sugar
Stone Temple Pilots - No. 4
Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet
    Missy Elliot - The Cookbook
    Riverside - Second Life Syndrome
    R.E.M. - Document
    Lenny Kravitz - Baptism
    Fish - 13th Star
Elvis Costello - Mighty Like A Rose
Elbow - Asleep In The Back
    Blackfield - Blackfield II
    Depeche Mode - Violator
    Japan - Tin Drum
    Dan Wilson - Free Life

That's enough for now lol. :P

Rest in peace, Michael. Teach the angels to moonwalk.

OK, so here goes - I am going to try to post pictures as well (even though posting options here are awful, mods should really do something about it...)

The Fray - How To Save A Life

Placebo - Once More With Feeling

    Evanescence - The Open Door

Dolores O'Riordan - Are You Listening?

    The Corrs - Unplugged

that's for rock and pop/rock, now as for pop albums...

Jennifer Lopez - Brave (I know many people can't stand J.Lo but I think this is one of the best pop albums I've heard recently)

Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion (same goes as for J.Lo)

    that's about it for now...

oh and btw. thank u billiejeandarling for help!

Yes Indeed! To me, when you speak of 'POP Diva of the 80's' or even early 90's, Annie's the one!
