A dancing dog and an Asian Michael Jackson tribute band were last night confirmed as the first finalists of Britain's Got Talent.

The two acts won through the first heat for the final, which was screened on ITV last night.
After thousands of hopefuls auditioned, they were among the last 40 acts to battle it out for a place in Saturday night’s grand final. Two acts will be voted through every day this week.

Judges: Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell confirmed their first two finalists in the first heat of Britain's Got Talent last night
The ultimate winners will take home £100,00 prize money and a coveted slot on this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

Signature, a Michael Jackson tribute band who combined lyrics and dance moves from the singer with traditional Indian dancing, were voted into the final by the public.

The pair wore red outfits in tribute Michael Jackson's iconic Thriller video as they fused Bhangra beats and dance moves with the 1980s classic track.

Signature. comprising of Michael Jackson impersonator Suleman Mirza and his partner Madhu Singh, were praised for their "originality."

Even sharp-tongued judge Simon Cowell could not find fault with their act ,and he said: " I had one issue which was could you come back here and do it better? The answer is yes, you did it. It was fantastic.

"That was one of the best acts because you have something so important, originality. Guys - three yeses."

London, May 27 (ANI): The dynamic duo Suleman Mirza and Madhu Singh of the well established dance troupe Signature delighted the judges with their performance at the auditions for Britains Got Talent.
While Mirza wowed the crowds with his Michael Jackson impersonation, Singh wandered on stage, broom in hand, on the pretence of sweeping the floor.
Signature gave Jackson hit Thriller a Bollywood edge, which judges agreed was one of the ITV1 shows most original performances.

is that in vegas or new york? it was reported in the 90s when he was with lisa that he owned a apartment in the building.

Thanks for the news. If Michael will release his album this year, it may easily ship like no less than 10 million in couple of months just as Invincible did -- or even more.

Fans, we have chance to get a big thing. If there will be no promotion problems, then Michael can be as big as ever.

Even Invincible could sell easily up to 20 million or more worldwide, if songs like Whatever Happens, Speechless, Break Of Dawn were released and marketed properly.

Now, however, we have to take marketing situation into account; sales were down sharply in latest years. But Michael himself said recently that people may start going to music shops again if they will hear something great. That is why Invincible shipments level is possible even in current marketing conditions.

The 'Thriller' singer - who rarely makes public appearances - tried to disguise himself by wrapping a coat around his face and wearing sunglasses as he entered the MGM Grand Hotel in the medical aid.

Jackson witnessed Jenna Jameson's boyfriend Tito Ortiz get beaten by Lyoto Machida during the evening.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a US-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, which is recognised as the largest MMA promotion in the world.

As well as attending the evening of bouts, Jackson went to Los Angeles' Peterson Automotive Museum to celebrate the 50th birthday of designer Christian Audigier.

Jackson - dressed in a blue satin military and western-themed shirt - took to the stage to say a few words about his friend.

The pop superstar said: "Christian is the king of fashion."

Pamela Anderson, Fergie and Britney Spears also attended the bash.

JACKSON SIGHTINGS

Michael Jackson met with one of Donald Trump's go-betweens at the Trump International Hotel & Tower last week.

Jackson and local deal maker Jack Wishna had their meeting early last week in the Trump tower boardroom. Wishna facilitated Jackson's move to Las Vegas in December 2006 after several years of self-exile.

The original plan was to move Jackson into Trump's $125 million mansion in Palm Beach, Fla.

Jackson lived at Trump Tower in New York back in the '80s and has had a personal friendship with Trump for years.

I surely hope MJ doesnt take the stage with Akon

Michael Jackson: Spectacular stage settings, amazing dance routines, incredible lighting, drama, emotion, excitement, the HIGHEST quality entertainment imaginable.

Akon: CD backing track, DJs, gangstas yelling stuff out, Akon wandering around in the crowd, not singing his songs, letting the audience feel him up all over.

Not exactly the right combo.

Also hope those "6 or 7 songs" on MJ's new album were PRODUCED by Akon, not duets or features with Akon...
 
i tell you this!! something huge is going on!! i feel the excitement building, lets face it! who else could cause that commotion by just attending someones birthday party and actually speak and be drowned out by the crowd!! because you are the KING no question about it! Michael the people want you BACK!!

anyone see So you Think you can dance where the Italian guy did MJ's Dangerous dance from the MTV awards... and the judge said it wouldn't really work over here in the US....
