Paul McCartney, love him or hate him, he is what he is and was. Great seeing him, he looks fantastic for a man in his mid sixties.

I was sixteen when the Beatles came to the U.S. for the first time, and his/their influence still remains incredibly strong with me.

Fixed, I think. You have to hit the big play button, then the smaller one.

They can't sing.. I can't tell you how pleased I was to hear the riff of Superstition kick in, a wave of relief came over me.. then they started to sing again. And why are they 'rockin' out on their guitars which obviously aren't plugged in during Superstition, its almost embarrassing watching them trying to power-chord a guitar that isn't even on during a song that is.. Funk, not Punk Rock. Thanks anyway lol.

Hahaha. You're not alone. My heart sank a little when he performed with them of all people (no offense to any Jonas fans).

I was dissapointed with a lot of the performances though. I thought McCartney did good, as did Jennifer Hudson. I usually like Jay-Z and Kanye, but I thought the "Rap Pack" as they were affectionately dubbed were pretty awful.

I thought it was a pretty boring show. Also, I know Jennifer Hudson has been through a lot, but I felt she shouldn't have won the Grammy for best R&B album. Al Green, Raphael Saadiq & Eric Benet had better albums.

I didn't watch the show (couldn't miss Desperate Housewives :P), but the Grammys do this every year. Stick a veteran act with a young popular one. The older act probably couldn't perform on the show any other way. So it's free publicity. Stevie played on a N*Sync record and a 98 Degrees song in the past. I don't think Stevie feels that any act or musical style as being inferior or beneath him, unlike a lot of other folks with their music prejudices and snobbery.

Those records got very little (if any) airplay. She's more popular than them.

True, but Herbie Hancock won Album of the Year last year, and how popular was River: The Joni Letters? It had sold like, not even a hundred thousand copies when it won the award. Really, album sales should have little bearing on the matte when it comes to established acts.

^^^^ There's always a fluke. Jazz isn't usually nominated in a major catagory. Maybe they're awarding veterans now, because I hear Robert Plant & Allison Kraus won and that wasn't big either. But in general, the most popular wins. That was the case even with Thriller.

a sports talk show was playing grammy winners. and among them was 'one more drink' featuring MJ's song, 'someone put your hand out'. so that song won a grammy.

The Grammy awards are becoming a novelty nowadays. They should have them once every three years or something, there's just too much music out there these days and too many awards per year.

Well, can I just say that I am very glad for the Album of the year award. Allison Krauss and Robert Plant did good on that album. So well constructed and produced.

If I never knew you I'd be safe but half as real
Never knowing I could feel a love so strong and true
I'm so grateful to you, I'd have lived my whole life through
Lost forever if I never knew you

then the question is, why would the sports stations play what they say were grammy winners, and that song was played?
