JANET Jackson's Number Ones: Up Close and Personal World Tour​

This is Janet's first tour since the ill-fated 2008 Rock Witchu Tour, which was cancelled due to illness and her first time tour outside of the US since her 2001 All For You Tour. Janet will be travelling around the world, performing what she calls her most intimate shows. The Number Ones: Up Close and Personal Tour celebrates Janet's 35 worldwide number one hits and celebrates her career and all in a intimate environment to ensure the fans are up close to the icon like never before.

The tour has seen very positive reviews complimenting Janet on her live vocals and her ability to still out dance her female competition, and proving that she needs nothing more than a stage and a few dancers to put on a spectacle. Janet promises that this will be her biggest world tour ever, but with previous tours such as the Rhythm Nation world tour, which remains the most successful debut tour in history, and the janet. world tour, can she really pull it off? Only time will tell...



Janet's tour has been ranked as the 22nd most successful North American tour of the year, and the 45th most successful worldwide tour, based on the Asian and the North American leg alone. Her North American leg of the tour also sold out within a matter of hours, becoming the fastest selling tickets of the year at the time.

The venue has lots of different areas as to where it could take place. There are two convention halls with a total of just over 6000, and there are 6 exhibition halls with an area of 53, 292 meters squared, Pre-function area with an area of 8000 meters squared and two theatres with about 1000 seats.

My guess is that she will do the convention hall or the Pre-funtion area as she wanted it to be intimate :)

So the voting has ended now? Have the all cities been announced already or is Hong Kong the first?

"The fans really reached out for Hong Kong to be the valentines day city on the Number Ones tour." What does that mean? Was it fans' idea to have the first date on Valentine's Day?

Cool anyway, can't wait to hear what the other cities are!

For all who are interested, Janet will perform in Hall 5BC, which holds approximatly 8000 people, tickets go on sale today (December 14th 10:00am Hong Kong time I presume) and are availabe at this link: http://www.hkticketing.com/eng

As for when she will release the rest of the dates, I don't know but I think they will be announced very soon.

she would be a fool to miss it, her The Best sold 100 000+ here and her best charting album since All For You, and she only did 2 performances to promote it here.

She'll deffinatly do UK shows, my guess would be she'll do both London and Manchester

It's only 3 cities so far (Manila the newest announced city!) Obviously there's going to be western cities aswell.

And I, at least, will buy tickets when she announces European dates. But if they're all announced one at a time I think it's little stupid because we don't know what the next city will be and at least I have to wait to see what is the closest city to me so I have to wait until all the cities are announced :bugeyed

^ I think she's only doing for these countries because many of them have there own different promoters, not like us/eu where you have one main promoter, so I am guess her management is announcing when they are confirmed. and I am sure there are more Asian dates to be announced.
and yes they're are differently going to be western dates and it looks like livenation is the tour Promoters once again the tour promoters, some us dates leaked already so I am guessing , she's announcing us dates next, no word on europe thou.
