  • I read your thread about being a complexed fan of mike's. LOL i like the comment about dying his hair purple and piercing his nose.
I know the feast was celebrated in the communist era as well, but it goes well beyond it. You are fortunate indeed if you haven't witness any male bashing.

On another note, I've tried to answer in the original thread your objection to some of my words. Again, it was not my intention to hurt your feelings or anyone's similar to you. I was actually very glad to read your own apology. I do think you've exaggerated a bit in your reaction. Hopefully, it is now settled. In any case, I have no intention whatsoever to come back to that particular discussion.

All good wishes to you :)
Just wanted to thank you for the IWD thread. I don't think you are goin' to get many replies to it since most American folks don't really celebrate it. Not only that, but women (who tend to be the majority around here) may not find it easy to congratulate one another. Where I come from the custom was for men to give women presents and shower them with attention, but it is true in the last few years women salute one another as well. In the end, female solidarity can never hurt. As long as it doesn't turn into the male bashing typical of extreme feminism, I'm all for it. Also, if some men don't feel like acknowledging the female presence in their lives, there's nothing really that can be done about it. If proper, timely and truly satisfying gift-giving isn't in their nature, how can one have such expectations?

Congrats again for the initiative and also for other threads. Your timing can be downright superb :)
