So, it's basically a Thriller era demo, it was played recently when the last time it was played was 8 years ago, could this be a sign that it's being released on Thriller 40? The only way Chicago 1945 can be released is in celebration albums which is the only way the Estate doesn't have the need to remix the demos.

No doubt! There’s a fine line between the two and I respect his stance totally. The only downside is that, had he given it up for Xscape, we WOULD have heard the original on the deluxe edition, lol.
Was that known to those involved in the project back in the studio during production? Also, let's not forget what they've done with some of the demos there being rather WIP versions if compared to the leaked ones (I can think of A Place With No Name and Xscape).

I don't think so. It's unlikely they'd allow anyone give spoilers about a project. Remember how they were taking down multiple HWT uploads from YouTube back in 2019? Now we know why :)

Interestingly, the song was labeled as a Bad era track in the booklet of 'Xscape'.

I thought from the initial announcement that Chicago 1945 would be on Thriller 40. Now it may not be, nothing confirmed. But IMO, it always made sense, even though it wasn't a Thriller demo, but still from that era. We shall see.

To add to that, the Estate should release Chicago 1945 as a single off Thriller 40.

That’s a big crowd for a DJ or is this some supporting act for a big artist?
We could say say say this will be on T40 but who who who who knows for real, right…
Remix was alright I guess.

Kygo is a DJ who has remixed songs of a lot of notable artists like TheWeeknd, Imagine Dragons, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, OneRepublic and so on.

The Estate did say disc 2 is gonna include Thriller-era content and they always included remixes in all their posthumous content, it's very much possible that it will be.

Why should they release a remix of a non-album track?

Confused!?! Because Mj&McCartney was huge. Say say say was on Paul's *Pipes of peace* album along with the *Man* I love his vocals on these and this was Thriller era timeline.

McCartney is everywhere right now so use a bit of that publicity and remind the world of these huge vocal talents.

I watched a few you tube videos of producers etc dissecting Michael's songs and they said categorically "nobody makes music like this anymore"!

ugh mikes vocals on say say say are SOOOO GOOD his tone was healthy and as big as it ever got as an adult.
didn't like the drop but its whatever, theres something cynical about artists like kygo who fart lots of remixes out, the original song loses its magic and soul while you slap some generic formulatic beat on it

I think your kind if forgetting that this will be played everywhere it's got Michael's hook in it, McCartneys beetles vibe also, what we may or may not like as fans is irrelevant if its commercial and wins new fans with deferring into something the original was not then its all good. This could be The Summer Banger that I'd even played in top clubs in Ibiza! Did you really think that would happen?

The last time I remember actually liking a good remix was of man in the mirror which I still love to this day.

I like it honestly. It sounds like generic electronic music but so does most remixes the Estate has made.

When do you think the track-list will be officially released?

Early september?
