Hmm....
Well there is no doubt that Michael was heavily influenced by (okay, he worships) Diana.
But, MJ did change it up with the different photo in each quadrant.
I can see the influence there.
I must say this:
Because of this thread & my daughter's insistence, I watched TII tonight on DVD.
I needed to see it alone, which she respected after a while.
I cried my eyes out. I laughed. I sang along & even did the dancing in the chair thing.
I've been an MJ fan since 1976. I KNOW...
Gotta say this:
This demo is WAAAY better than anything T-pain's delivered in his whole auto-tuned career.
I heard the "rock with you" intro drum sample mixed with a slowed down wannabe "Wanna Be Startin Somethin" drum beat, so I'm open to it.
Harmonies are tight - aka MJ.
Michael...
Let's go all out - if they want Auto TUNE, let the best do it:
Stevie Wonder doing Human Nature with that Auto Tune crap (and it sounds 1,000 better than today)
From 2008 Stevie's Concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDdygc8BhP8&feature=related
Alicia flipped the Human Nature lyrics, to show how people hurt other people, because that is a part of Human Nature - while honoring MJ at the same time. It's keeping MJs message of LOVE alive. We need to care for one another
Live from Oslo- Alicia Keys - Human Nature...
Quincy is great and all, but he has some rich man's Alzheimer's going on. Man has talked so much sh&t and nobody calls him out on it except MJ fans who know the real deal.
Um....
Isn't it already known that you just can't remake a Michael Jackson song?
And with Auto-tune?
Sorry, but the only artists I can hear remaking an MJ song is Usher & Ne-Yo.
Female singers: Alicia Keys & Beyonce.
Maybe a Justin Bieber for early J5 stuff.
At my daughter's public afterschool program (City of Tampa, Florida) Michael is on the Black History Month wall next to Rosa Parks & Dr. MLK, Jr. They watched TII as a part of Black History Month. When I saw that, I welled up in tears & the head coach saw me & hugged me. She's also a HUGE...
I hear ya! This is totally a lifelong pain. Like a chronic illness like arthritis or diabetes. There is no cure. Somedays will be better than others, yes, but then there are days when the pain just takes over and you can't function.
It's just a matter of working around it. I know I'm with...
I'm in the same boat as you are.
There are times that I can live with MJ being in the upper echelon of God's holiest of holy souls, and whenever I look up to the sky, I feel gratitude & love coming down on me like sunshine rays after the rain.
There are times that I break down and CAN'T...
I knew Debbie was for REAL!!!!!!!!!
Love her. I really do.
I admit that I was a Debbie-basher at one point, but now I know the whole truth.
I wish I could've been there to hug her & say "I'm sorry."
Soundmind, I find it VERY ODD.
Especially since the LA coroner said that toxic amounts of Propofol were found in MJ's body. (God, I hate saying that.)
So how do the toxic amounts = what Murray stated? THEY DON'T. The proof is in what the coroner found & that tear in the larger Propofol...
WHAT A SH*T.
MJ's kids aren't more his family? Tito's kids were there.
Why weren't you invited, Randy & Jermaine? Because you're vampire opportunists.
Keep suing the MJ estate, Randy. Keep taking bread away from MJs kids.
And to have Jermaine waltz the stage accepting awards on...
