Nevermind, I saw it on Access Hollywood's website, it was on the "star sightings" thing and he IS on the cover, I don't know for what month though, I'm assuming December though. Why not? "Thriller" was released in December anyways.
Here's the link to Access Hollywood...
 He's a legend for a good reason. His career stretch back years and there are performances from back then that showcase PROOF. People who followed Michael from the Jackson 5 on up to Off the Wall were already throwing the "legend" status at him.
If I'm not mistaken, MJ's first solo album, Got To Be There, was released on February 13, 1972. :)
Wikipedia said 1971. I forgot what date, lol. But the album came before single on the Wikipedia page.
Yeah, ultimately I feel his heart, mind and soul would overpower any feelings he may have had for a place that was destroyed because of some stupid allegations. I don't think he's gonna let that get him down if he does sell it. Mike will do what pleases himself. You just don't know what goes on...

And also I think it's one of his greatest periods because of how he transitioned from boy soprano to his trademark tenor. ;)
Musically I dig most of the songs' arrangements, I loved the introductions to "Ain't No Sunshine" and "I Wanna Be Where You Are" for example! Especially the latter song...
"Don't go and talk about my father, God is my friend..." - Marvin Gaye (1971) :trytobeangel
:P
But yeah he (Michael) smartly emulated his influences. :D
