No, on the contrary. MJ took several years more than planned and did not seem very motivated for the album at all (missing recording sessions, letting others write songs instead of contributing own stuff).
Seems like music just wasnt a priority to him between 1999 to 2001.
Theres no such thing as a "spot". Theres more than enough space on the CD to keep Carousel and just add stuff like Niteline and Hot Street. I like to have all Thriller era tracks in one place :)
Price of Fame and AlCapone were considered holy grails prior to Bad25 :) They were completely unleaked and people were discussing wheter AlCapone was a Demo for SC.
Having them as a special version (like on the single of IJCSLY 2012) is nice. But on the album I also often find them annoying (esp YRMW).
But there are exceptions: I love the intro to Meatloafs You Took the Words Right Out Of My Mouth.
So, I'm probably the last one here, but finally managed to watch both 4k videos and listen to CD2 . :) Where's my Late to the Party award?
Beat It and Thriller in 4K are awesome and look so fresh! I'm impressed by the zombies still looking really good and scary in high resolution. Also: The Beat...
Thats my fear as well. I think every album needs like a definitive edition re release with the best possible audio sound and a comprehensive collection of demos.
Someone mentioned that Quincy, who possibly worked on the latest version on this song during the original thriller sessions, may still have beef with the Estate, resulting in the withholding of alls songs he contributed to.
May very well be the case! Does anybody know if Estate and Quincy still are having legal troubles? For future Thriller and Bad anniversaries this obviously would be huge obstacle. And mega frustrating for us fans.
I think I get what Brad means. On all albums prior to Invinclible you could feel the passion of everyone involved. You can hear the musicians (including MJ) having fun creating the album. They sound organic, alive. Invincible though feels static, synthetic, artificial.
