Sonic was inspired by Michael Jackson

Yes, only Brad Buxer was involved with this song, not Michael. "On December 11, 2009, independent record label Fervor Records released several previously unreleased Jetzons songs. One song, "Hard Times", closely resembles the theme for the level "Ice Cap Zone" in the 1994 video game Sonic the...

Smooth Criminal leans on HIStory Tour 1997

Just so my fail-photo isn't the only lean from HWT in here... Here's a nice one: (Don't know where this was. Google-find.)

Smooth Criminal leans on HIStory Tour 1997

Where is it overrated? Hardly a single HWT thread (at least on here) where negativity doesn't kick in after a few posts. :D

Smooth Criminal leans on HIStory Tour 1997

I was checking all my old HIStory concert photos the other day and noticed that the lean didn't work in Leipzig (Germany) 1997. I guess it can be a painful thing if this goes wrong. Imagine one foot stuck, the other lose.. you fall... ouuuch..... So over time he might have gotten more cautious.

Michael - The Great Album Debate

Why would he only confess about these 3 songs "and Stay". He sang a whole bunch more songs for the Cascios. Is this new btw? At least something similar was posted on his facebook page some time after the album came out. Then it was removed again and he claimed that he had been hacked. I...

    Hypothetical followup album to Invincible

I think so too. The mass of people (non hardcore fans) that make such albums a commercial success have a hard time distinguishing between Jason Malachi and Michael Jackson. How are they supposed to hear or care about what era a real MJ song is from. If it's a good song, it's a good song. That's...

    New MJ content (Possibility)

You're exaggerating badly. In the "I Feel It Coming" video, there are two little MJ'esk VISUAL homages to Michael. The militaria style jacket and the Billie-Jean-video-like triple splitscreen at one point. That's it. No MJ-trademark moves (he hardly dances)... and his voice and singing style...

The doctor who saved Michael's life in 1995

Since this happened some days ago (in 1995)... Here's an interesting article about the doctor who treated Michael after his collapse at the HBO "One Night Only" rehearsals. (The original article, published ~2 weeks after Michael's death, is not online anymore, but still can be found...

    New MJ content (Possibility)

Re: New MJ content? 80s style is a thing in general, and the 'SynthWave' retro genre seems to have hit mainstream with the latest The Weeknd productions now. Just to say... it doesn't always mean people are out to copy Michael Jackson when things sound 80s. Michael didn't invent any of that...

Taj Jackson's MJ Documentary - Updates and Discussion [MERGED]

Never too late for what he attempts to do. It won't be just an answer to LN.

    HIStory 25 [MERGED]

The sticker it got after the jewish controversy was just a disclaimer sticker with Michaels apology. No parental advisory sticker. Of course in theory it's possible that certain local shops put a parental advisory sticker on it themselve in fear of potentially mad parents, but I have never seen...

    HIStory 25 [MERGED]

There were no USA copies of the HIStory album that officially came with a parental advisory label. And while this label might have added to the badass-factor and sales of Hiphop and Rock genre albums in the 80s and 90s, I doubt that a Michael Jackson Pop mainstream album like HIStory would have...

    HIStory 25 [MERGED]

Scream was already censored on the original single release in 1995 and there was a censored video version with sound effect on f*ing and Janet's middle finger blurred out. So it's not like things have gotten worse. At least the uncensored version is available now. Question really is... why...

    HWT South America

Didn't some doctor (who provided him with propofol during the tour) come out after Michaels death and claimed that Michael almost died at the end of the HIStory tour? The music of BOTDF was a mix of mostly playback and some single live played instruments on top.

    The Will.i.am tracks [Discussion]

I guess it's possible. Pre-Thriller Michael was 'just' one of many black soul/disco artists. And Mosdell's home was rather the international artsy eclectic music scene back then. YMO were HUGE in Japan back then, but still, comparing the song he wrote for them to a Beatles classic is off. :D

Any Drake and lil wayne fans

I like Drake in this one... it's Travis who kills it though. 2018 but still, what a track. Love the melodic rap flow, the beat(s) and those innovative cuts / changes.

Which MJ song would you want to hear Paris Jackson do?

None. Especially not that early in her musical career. She's better off doing her own completely different thing.
