2009/2010 Jacksons & Solo Remasters - worth getting?

I must have been under a rock when these were announced, but I see that Japan had mini LPs released in 2009. I'm assuming these are different to the cardboard releases from "Michael Jackson - The Collection".

Now, what I'm really looking to see is if the remasters are noticibly different/better? I'm especially interested in Victory and Invincible? Does anyone have them that would be able to share their opinion?

From various forums I've seen mixed reviews but was looking for feedback from anyone here. Apparently Invincible sounds better, but I can't see it matching the mastering of the vinyl which iI have heard for the first time today.

The Jacksons CD's I'm much more interested in.
 
Is there anything that suggests these releases were remastered at the time?

Could the old masters not simply have been repackaged into these 'mini LP' cardboard sleeves?

I got Invincible on vinyl for my last birthday - I haven't yet listened.
