We all know MJ loved 3D, and in the Thriller music video there is a House of wax 3D poster behind MJ. - Do you think it is something MJ did on purpose?

At 4:30 you clearly see the 3D poster.

Surely cinemas did not have or use 3D back in 1982.

3D technology is MUCH older than you imagine. It's been around for decades and a lot of old horror movies were in 3D. :)

Wow. I didn't know.

But still - do you think it is just a coincedens, or do you think MJ who loved 3D - made sure the 3D poster was in the background?

I imagine it's an idea of John Landis, he directed horror movies… and since 3d has been around since like 1910, I guess he's paying tribute to old times. I'm sure MJ didn't mind. :D

3D was really popular in the 50s, and House of Wax was one of those that was originally in 3D. I also think Michael was a fan of old horror movies. :)

I think MJ liked both old horror movies and 3D - that's wgy I think maybe he wanted the poster in Thriller.
