I wasnt sure if this should go here or in the fan section. Please move it to the fan section if thats where it belongs.

I was browsing through youtube watching a few Impersonator videos, and i've seen it thrown round quite a lot. This guy is the best, that guy is the best.

Personally im going with Earnest Valentino. There are certain impersonators out there that are really good and even being called 'the best', but they are just missing something for me. They have the look down, a lot of the moves down, the expressions down and everything. But the one thing they are forgetting to do is the most important thing, and thats simply feeling the music. I see them throwing out random spins in the middle of the performance where it just doesnt fit, and I cant get into it.

This is why my vote is going to Earnest Valentino. He looks a lot like Michael, has all the moves down well, is full of energy, and most importantly I get the sense that he is actually feeling the music rather than just throwing random impressive moves.

You know, I'm not gonna say, because even though he's pretty good, every time I see an impersonator, it just looks like a joke to me....No offense to any impersonators....

I found this guy while on youtube last night. I have no idea what his name is but he's amazing! I know the best impersonator should have the look and the voice too but this guy really has the dancing down so I wanted to share it with you!

I have to tell you that was mighty impressive. You were right. Definately the best Dangerous Performance. I'll have to take a look at his Billie Jean before I judge properly.

I get what you mean. I have been doing it myelf for about 5 years now but I have gotten to a stage were I am afraid of doing it in front of anybody because it does seem a bit like how you described. Personally I just do it because I enjoy dancing and singing. I dont dress up when I do it, I just do it for the fun of it.

I have uploaded performances before on youtube but then took them down out of embarrasment, even though people had said they loved them. This is the only one I keep on there because its really just an assortment of Moonwalks.

I allways make videos but then im never really satisfied with them, so I either dont upload them. Or if I do upload them I take them down. Either im not happy with them or I get a sense of embarrasment knowing people that know me are watching them.

I think the embarrassment comes from the fact im just doing it in my living room, i'd love to try and rent a stage for the night to record a few videos. if thats possible.

L.T.D.... not bad, though I would go for legendary Daimyo Jackson - professionalism joined with perfectionism...

I always said Navi was the best impersonator but after seeing Earnest Valentino I think he may be a good contender for being the best as he looks a lot like him and has all the moves perfected, he's amazing and at times I felt like I was watching the real MJ. L.T.D your dancing is also amazing.

I don't know why some think Navi is the best? I mean ok he looks like Michael, but he can't dance.

I think looks come second and dance come first. Only a few impersonators can move close to Michael. E'casanova, Earnest Valentino and Kent Olaf are the only one. Kent Olaf I think is better then Earnest and E'cas, but I rank those three as the best.

Another good impersonator is Andre Santisi.

Personally I prefer impersonators who focus on the dancing, rather than the looks. Although I know some people find it important, I don't care about the latter, and with the exception of a few guys (such as E'Cas) most guys who attempt to look like MJ facially look nothing like him imo. I like the guys who just pop a fedora and maybe a jacket on and go - relying on dance skills rather than make-up.

Dance-wise I think Kent Olaf is definitely one of the best. He has clearly studied the performances in detail and usually has even the little nuances down. I must say that I found the Dangerous performance that was posted on the first page very good as well!

Compared to Michael, yeah... :giggle:

I have to agree with you! He's good!

I haven't seen them all so I don't know which one is the best. I have seen Navi and I wasn't very impressed. Kent Olaf is very good, but somehow to me a bit boring to watch. From what I've seen up till now I think Andre Santisi is the best! :) He's a true performer and perfectionist. He has that same "kill and attack" attitude that Michael has. A lot of impersonators are too "soft". Just my humble opinion...

It's a matter of opinions :)
I, for example can't understand how anyone can like an arrogant and self-centered E'Cas or Earnest Valentino who I think looks just creepy.

Navi is so far from being the best or even amongst them- he doesn't look like MJ in the slightest. Earnest Valentino doesn't have a lot of the moves down well at all - he's atrocious at going on the tips of his toes and his spins are very forced. Valentino is too rushed as well - he hurries through the moves rather than feels them.

The best all-round MJ impersonator was E'Casanova...who also sang 100% live. He also had the best looking MJ costumes that were really close to MJ's. This guy looked more like BAD era MJ, but noone else has come close to looking like ANY era MJ at all...ever.

Andre Santisi is a good impersonator, but his dancing is somewhat chaotic, and not technical like MJ is.

I guess it is matter of opinion, but I did some research on YouTube just to see, and at the end I have to say Kent Olaf is the best. You could put MJ's head on top of his body and you would not know the difference, his moves and body language is identical to MJ. And most of all he feels the music. True dancers are like that.

If you put MJ's head on any other impersonator you know the difference right away.

If you can dance, looks don't matter. If you look like Michael but can't dance, then it looks weird.

Put MJ's head on Olaf's body andI'd know the difference straight off in a second. He's not identical to MJ from what I've seen.
