Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Looks like the review embargo is beginning to lift.

EW
Chicago Sun-Times
Uproxx

All three are using the usual code words ("powerful," "compelling," "convincing"), but the first two do due diligence and acknowledge that the whole thing is one-sided and haven't offered anyone on the defense an attempt to give their side. EW even goes so far to say, "For review purposes, let us leave it at this: As a documentary in the strictest sense of the word, Leaving Neverland is a failure." (Mind you, they still give it a B review, but at least they're offering some level of legitimacy.)

Yikes. Yikes, yikes, yikes. I don't remember 2003-05 too much, but if this was the shit that you all had to go through, I applaud you for surviving. I'm slowly reaching the end of my rope.

I clicked the trailer. I didn't want to, but I did it to give the thumbs down. I didn't watch the trailer though, but I think it still adds to the view count even if you don't watch. I'm not going to watch four hours of garbage either. I don't think it's necessary because people are going to post the content of the heaping pile of dung anyway. Hopefully all those people saying to "watch the film" will finally shut the hell up.

Who is seriously going to watch 4 hours of someone describing "child abuse"? Most people will see the running time and turn the channel over.

It's so crystal clear that the people calling this powerful and all that bullshit have no idea about W&S's background. That much is for damn certain. I'm just glad that we're seeing plenty of support from non fans now too on social media. I'm sure we're gonna see a whole lot more glowing reviews and we just gotta go on. I rather not click on the reviews, but maybe we can email the writers of those reviews with facts?

How can it be worse. Mj was fighting for his life on trial every day for 4 months. With totally one sided media reporting with no social media where we could point out the facts from the transcripts which we got of the testimony.we lived under a horrendous cloud for a year and and half scared to death that hey were trying to send mj literally to his death. lets put some prespective into this.I'll never forget the feeling the morning after the verdict feeling like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders. They cannot hurt mj. Hes thankfully blissfully unaware. The only negative is as you say he cannot defend himself. But if he were here this would not be happening. Robson would still be inviting them around for BBQ's

Very well said. It can't possibly be worse because like you said, there was a chance he was gonna be sent to jail. We just gotta wait and see how things look after this shitstorm. If the numbers of supportive social media users keep adding up, I honestly don't care what these reviewers of sites think and a Belgian popstar? Meh.

As long as his art stays available, so his music on streaming services and radio still playing it too, it should be fine. Look at actual bad people like Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, R Kelly. The first two are still widely celebrated for their work and the last one's music is still fully available on Spotify. I'm starting to become immune for the reviews of this filth and the media in general can really **** off anyway.

It wouldnt be happening if he were here. Its worse for you not mj.

The media will never stop trying to destroy mj. We do what we can via social media and keep fighting. As as we have seen, while the media are trying to brainwash the public.they dont appear to be falling for it

What's the deal with this loser Jacobshagen anyway? So he's carrying that book And we all know there's nothing wrong with that book. So even if it was MJ's real autograph, which I really doubt, what does that prove at all? Seriously laughable.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I have heard from fans, who were together with Jacobshagen at a fan gathering, that he was trying to get information out of people who had met Michael and how that was for them (fishing for things to put in a book he was writing or something to that extent), while, at the same time, trying to sell more of his fake autographed crap. When they started demasking him, he turned violent, police were called and he got arrested.

I somewhat I agree as Michael is not suffering because of this. But his children and family are suffering. We as fans are suffering but this too shall pass. MJ is too big a star and has too large a fan base for this rubbish to destroy his legacy. What Dan Reed has done was lazy. Opportunistic and evil. But we have the truth on our side like we did in 1993, and 2005. We are stronger for these trials and we will never stop fighting for MJ and his legacy. No other fan base I can think of is this informed, intelligent and well organised.

As disgusting as this is we have to remember that Michael can’t die again. He has already been gone almost 10 years. His family however is still alive. Paris right now on twitter talking about what she sounds like then she is stoned. I hope it’s a joke but I kind of feel like a concerned parent. She is an adult by now but she is still so young, to young to remember anything about what it was actually like in 05 and I hope people are there to support her.
