I'm not sure if it counts as a bridge, but I love the woo-glassshatter-dununuuununun part in Jam.

MJ was the king of bridges/middle-eight sections. There are so many great ones in his catalogue.

Heartbreaker
Give Into Me
Get On The Floor (the "get up, wontcha go get down" part)
In The Closet
Dangerous
Shout (the "how can we preach" part)
Bless His Soul
You Rock My World
Morphine (if the orchestral section counts as a bridge?)
Tabloid Junkie
Will You Be There
Earth Song (are the "what about us" parts a bridge?)
Speed Demon (bridge section is the best part of the song)
Blood On The Dancefloor (love the backing vocals on this one)
Is It Scary

....plus probably a dozen or so more that I've forgotten to mention.

Out of curiousity, what part of Smooth Criminal do you think of as the bridge?

Oh, I completely forgot about Xscape. "When I'm gone, this problem world won't bother me no more." Such a poignant part of the song.

The Rod Serling spoken rap on Threatened is another great one. I could really go all day on this topic....

Morphine has many breakdowns - I think of them as bridges - and they are GREAT !!!

Morphine is a masterpiece really. - And quiet scary too.

How about the part in Don't Be Messin' Round when he says, 'briiiidge?'

But seriously folks....

May I surprise MattyJam and go for the track Invincible....

Always loved that part...

"Now some day I'll have to prove all that I said I would do
Giving you everything, fulfilling your fantasy
Then maybe you'll change your mind and finally give in time
Then I'll be showing you what other men are supposed to do for you my baby"

Unfortunately it then goes into another unnecessary rap, but I really like the track & that part especially.

Oh how can i forget the bridge for Dangerous! I never understood why he removed that part in the live performances. Imo that's the best part of the song
I cannot sleep alone tonight, my baby left me here tonight, I cannot cope till it's alright"

"Speed Demon, You're The
Very Same One
Who Said The Future's In
Your Hands
The Life You Save Could Be
Your Own
You're Preachin' 'Bout My
Life Like You're The Law
Gonna Live Each Day And
Hour Like
For Me There's No Tomorrow"

Really? Has no one mentioned this piece of genius?

"Lift Your Head Up High
And Scream Out To The World
I Know I Am Someone
And Let The Truth Unfurl
No One Can Hurt You Now
Because You Know What’s True
Yes, I Believe In Me
So You Believe In You"

Have any more uplifting lyrics ever been written?

MJ did not remove at all these lines from his live performances in 1993.

I suppose you are referring to the period from 1995 onwards.
