Beat It and MITM - different concert?

It sounds like the MITM performance on the CD is different from the snippet that leaked a few months ago, the way MJ goes "AAOW" just before the song starts and also the synth is different at "my favourite wintercoat" it sounds like a "grace note" not just a simple chord there. I'm told that the original snippet was leaked as July 16th :S. Has anybody checked if the MITM in the video is the same?

i wonder why beat it has a black microphone, possible thats taken from another date? dont get why he would change throughout the show, surely his other would have been sound checked, levels arranged and sorted, etc etc???

yes i have a snippet where Mj does the "AAOW" and then crowd repeats it and MJ gigles a little bit... so funny!!!! but i think i the dvd thats the way it is

It is rather interesting that MITM intro doesn't match snippet shared by Birchey for keep the magic campaign in early 2011. Files he shared were clearly labelled and all perfectly match this release apart from MITM.

Then the Birchey snippet of MITM is not from the 16th. Also, note that Michael acknowledges the presence of Charles and Diana in the 16th footage and audio, hence it must be from the correct date.

I was just lazy to say that TWYMMF is from 15th, lol. No mislabelling!

Awwos are not indication that is from other night. its multi track and they can be edited and put where ever they want. Or the Birchey files are wrong date.
the black mic in Beat it is just he got black one backstage. the silver is on the stand on stage. thats what i think.

I think they're all the same concert. There is a hot pixel that appears in the "manned" camera angle from the right side of the stage. If it was different concerts they would likely change this camera as it's a cameraman filming not a mechanical crane. It appears in Beat It, Billie Jean and MITM. I think he switched mics right after WDAN and then the silver mic was then attached to the stand for Billie Jean to start.

At the beginning MJ was also signalling something, this could have meant the band to be louder or maybe he wanted the mic louder. The latter would make sense in that he didn't perform with silver mic for Beat It and the silver mic's volume may be imbalanced.

He didn't. Michael said that he did in Private Home Videos doc but maybe he just didn't remember right. He did perform Dirty Diana on July 16th.

hmm I looked at July 23 or w/e that amateur concert came from, and MJ uses black mic for Beat It there while WDAN and BJ had a silver mic, so I guess it isn't that unusual he did the same on the 16th.

Yes but he probably missremembered.
Because people that were there said he DID play it, so..

He could have messed the dates, he had many at the same venue and probably didn't remember well..

Because of the meeting with Princess Diana the show started late, so TWYMF got cut.
